Week 14 | Day 4 [video]
[Contrary to what Kasumi usually does, this time she is neither using text nor the anonymous feature. Mostly because the latter would be ridiculous because she's using video anyway, but also it would be counter productive to what she's doing.
She holds the pocket watch up to eye-level, which doesn't really mean very much as the entire top half of her face is obscured by shadow -- there is vague glittering under the shadow where her eyes theoretically are, so it's at about... theoretical eye-level. But anyway. The view behind her is that of the gentleman's club, haloed by the light drizzle coming from the sky.
Kasumi's tone is chipper enough, her mouth curving into a subtle smile that may imply she knows something you don't. She probably doesn't, though. But she might.]
Quiet, aren't we? I guess everyone's too busy running from things to be very chatty. At least we're not surrounded by ghosts, though. It's nice to interact with people who actually know you're there for once.
[A beat. That might have been a joke.
Her tone softens as she continues.]
So, hey -- any kids out there? I have somewhere I can take you if this is all getting too scary for you. Just make sure you're really good at being quiet. It could be a lot of fun, too.
[She angles the camera back so the gentleman's club is prominent again.]
Meet me here.
[And then she turns off the feed.]

[She's waiting outside the club, just as she said. At least it's not raining that hard -- the last thing she needs is a wet hood weighing her down.]

I thought minors weren't allowed there.

Anyway, hooray, a response. Kasumi beams into the pocket watch, corners of her mouth curling up.]
They're not! That's why you need to be really good at being quiet.

[the smile is infectious, after the sort of things she's witnessed. She might not intend to take Kasumi up on that offer, but can see the appeal in it]
What goes on in the club, anyway? I didn't see much before I was turned out.

Oh... adult things. Drinking, that sort of thing. [Strippers... you know.]

That's only for the people who let it bother them. Some of us aren't afraid to inject some levity into a situation.

Come again?

That's funny, I don't remember making an ultimatum. Maybe you're projecting.

What about adults? Can they come too?
[ because being so specific about the kids is... well, that's just a little weird, isn't it? ]

Oh! You mean that club then.
[ he shook his head ]
You should have been more up front about that. [ or Oz should just be more trusting. Catch-22s all around. ] I've heard it's actually a pretty nice place. [ although obviously no one believes Oz when he tells them he's an adult. He can't help it that American laws don't consider 16 year olds responsible... ]
