Backdated to Day 3 because I'm slooooow

Blasted friggin flummoxing contraption!

[Jake doesn't look like he is having much luck here. He's looking at wires sticking out every which way from a car, having successfully managed to take apart the front part... but now that he has, he's not entirely sure what to do to get it to start and how to put it back together. Nobody ever taught him how to hot wire a car. He's never even seen a car in real life before he came under COMPASS's control.]

Why doesn't the ignition work?! Would anyone be so kind as to help a fellow out and tell me what the devilfucking dickens it is I'm mucking up here? This isn't nearly as easy as pie as all the movies make it out to be!

[He's frustrated and also inwardly a little spooked. Jake doesn't like the feeling he's been getting staying in the city and he wants to get out. Surely driving a car can't be that hard, right? That is, as long as he can get it started.]

Getaway driver at 10! What do you need?

[Hey, interesting work, and unlike everyone else, Parker's not fleeing the city.]

No key. Need to hotwire. See the steering wheel?

[And --]

Don't kick it. It hurts.

Remove the plastic underneath it. You'll see wires.

You're seriously trying to make that thing work all by yourself? [ Mizuki has noticed more people trying to flee the city by now, and he honestly doesn't blame them - the zombies aren't exactly the best kind of company. But on the other hand, he doesn't think that travelling away from here is going to make circumstances anywhere else be any better, so he hadn't exactly thought of doing anything like this himself yet.

But to see someone apparently a lot younger than him actually trying it.. ]

Hey, can you even drive?
inktrails: (always nothing or too much to say)

[ Okay, so Mizuki is all for having fun. But he always can't help but feel a little responsible in cases like this - isn't that why he became friends with Aoba in the first place as well? So he can't just tell Jake to go ahead and do this with a clean conscience. ]

If it's that easy, then people wouldn't get into car accidents all the time. You don't plan on driving yourself straight into a wall, yeah?

It's probably not as easy as you think. There's more to driving a car than just grabbing the wheel and driving off, you know. [ Clearly it's time for Mizuki to take on the role of the responsible big brother type as usually.. ]

It really is that easy. [He is so judging you right now, kid, shaking his head in disappointment. Seriously, it's easy.]

Take the battery wires and splice them together then hook the ignition wire to the battery wire to give the vehicle power. After that it's a simple matter of sparking the starter wire to actually start the vehicle.

Careful not to electrocute yourself, kid.

Look for the owners manual.[shrug. sadly, not all vehicles are the same.] If it's in the car somewhere it should have it listed by color.

Otherwise, you'll have to figure it out by hand. Follow the individual wires back to their prime components.
