002 | Video ☇ Day 16 | Midday
[The camera jiggles as Bonten struggles to grasp it. Why yes, this is another one of those fun I've-Been-Possessed-And-Now-This-Goast-Is-Going-To-Pee-On-Everything-I-Love posts that have been cropping up lately.
Bonten, as you may or may not know, does not really sleep so much as he goes and goes and goes until his brain overheats and he passes out in a deep sleep while his body reboots. Needless to say, the stress of everything ever had finally caught up to Bonten, leaving him unconscious on a roof somewhere (as if he'd sleep in the room he shared with Izaya) and allowing a spirit to take control of his body without really any fuss.
The catch, however, being that Bonten was so deeply asleep that when the ghost took over it couldn't maintain Bonten's completely human form, reverting instead back to the body of a bird spirit, complete with giant bird-feet hands. Which would have been great had the ghost been attempting to scratch up worms instead of hold a device intended for human fingers.]
Huuuuu I picked a weird one. [Bonten moves a clawed hand to brush hair behind his his ear, talons catching in the chain connecting his lip to his ear. It gets tangled, and the talons on the ends of his fingers make grasping things difficult. The ghost quickly grows frustrated, simply yanking his hand free, ripping the ring out of his face without so much as a grimace. (So long as the body was ambulatory, the spirit didn't care what state what its face was in.)]
It is so funny how you creatures are so incredibly desperate to protect unimportant things. [Blood oozes down his chin, lipring dangling from the chain attached to his ear, a small bit of flesh still speared on the bar.] Like plants.
In the forest, there's a tree that's very special to that snake! If the tree gets hurt, if that happens-- [The ghost laughs.] I guess I have time to make some mulch on my way off this piece of shit island. Ciao. [It lilts its goodbye and turns off the device, using Bonten's legs to leap off the edge of the building and head off toward the shrine.]

[Well that's not right. Not right at all. He has to stare, first of all. ]

And the things he's saying are so suspicious, they make his chest tighten.]
What are you--

Leave my children be.

He resents you, you know. [A lie.] He thinks you're a sell-out.

Don't waste my time with lies. Leave him.

[Not that that much matters. He's going to find Tsuyukusa first. The tree itself, that is, and he's going to coil around it and wait. He'd turn fully snake for speed, but he can't use the device and slither around at the same time.]

[Okay, sure. He's leaving his device behind right now, because if he goes snake he's pretty sure he can find Bonten before Bonten gets to Tsuyukusa.]
VIDEO IS FOR PUSSIES
Tsuyukusa's real body was easy for the ghost to locate (at least the body it'd chosen was good for something, even if it couldn't whistle). It didn't have a very fine control on Bonten's senses, though, and while it was sure that a giant snake would be popping up any old minute, it stopped to sink Bonten's claws into the trunk of the special tree, delighting in the sensation of piercing the bark and pressing its talons deep into the living flesh of the thing. It was exhilarating.]
ACTION FOREVERS
Get away from him.
HEAR HEAR
So. It wrapped its body around the tree and dug Bonten's talons into the bark.]

If you do not leave him, I will find a way to force you, and it will not be pleasant.
[PERMAVOICE]
You're pitiful.

Goes to show that you're ignorant and pitiful. Really, there is a reason things like you don't have a body.

Again, who says I want to get out?

[Midna giggles.]
I know it's hard, but do try to keep up!
