About famed.tools

Hi, I’m Primož, the creator of famed.tools

How it all started

Before famed.tools, I was running several small directories, each focused on its own niche like aitools.spot. Over time I realized how powerful it is to get your website listed on quality directories with strong domain and page authority. It helps rankings grow, brings more visitors, and builds trust.

That experience led to one simple idea: create a single, modern place where makers and founders can showcase their websites, get backlinks, and be discovered — all in one friendly directory.

Inspired by simplicity

I was inspired by findly.tools and its creator Eric, who built something beautifully simple yet valuable — every submission helped others discover new tools while giving creators visibility through backlinks and badges.

I was also inspired by uneed.best and Thomas, the man behind it. His approach to design and community showed how a clean, purposeful directory can truly help people find what matters.

Together, these ideas shaped famed.tools — a mix between findly.tools and uneed.best, built in my own calm and minimal style, powered by the same values of community and visibility.

Building famed.tools

I built famed.tools entirely on my own using Laravel, Tailwind CSS, and Alpine.js. For a more reliable badge verification system I added a small Node.js service.

I thought it would take three days to finish, but it actually took five. Since I worked only a few hours each day, maybe it really was three days after all. 😄

Why famed.tools exists

famed.tools is about discovery, visibility, and community. I built it for creators, developers, and marketers who work hard on their projects and deserve to be seen.

If you want to grow your website traffic and gain high-quality backlinks, list your website on famed.tools. It’s free, simple, and genuinely helps your project reach more people.

A personal note

I’m proud of how far this little project has come, and even more excited about the community that’s forming around it. My hope is that famed.tools inspires you to build, share, and keep learning, just like it inspired me to turn a weekend idea into something meaningful.
