Ferox Studio is a multidisciplinary practice devoted to the art of interiors, exteriors, and objects—where design becomes both craft and inquiry. Moving fluidly between scales and disciplines, we weave form, material, and atmosphere into layered expressions of place. Each project unfolds as a dialogue between the built and the natural, the intimate and the expansive.

Our work is rooted on the West Coast and extends to destinations by request. We design and build exteriors that feel alive, and craft interiors that are immersive and warm. We curate lush florals, lead botanical workshops, and create environmentally focused educational experiences—each an invitation to connect more deeply with place.

Manifesto

Ferox Studio’s work lives at the meeting of landscapes, interiors, and objects—where memory, mood, and intention take form. Each project begins as an inquiry: into the spirit of a site, the rhythm of its light, the stories that linger in its air. From there, we weave color and texture, stone and vessel, fabric and form, into compositions that feel at once grounded and transcendent. Design, for us, is not decoration but dialogue—between interior and exterior, human and landscape, object and atmosphere, permanence and ephemerality. It is the choreography of material, carefully chosen and placed with intention, until form becomes feeling and matter becomes memory. In every project, we ask: what is this place, what can be revealed, what can be remembered, and what world can be made here?

About Aimee Kirby

Based in Los Angeles, Aimee Kirby—founder of Ferox Studio— approaches interior and exterior design as a dialogue between art, environment, and experience. With over 15 years of shaping spaces and objects, and a background in textile art and large-format photography, her practice is rooted in a sensitivity to light, texture, and story. Each project is crafted with intention, sensitivity, and a reverence for place. From ethereal gardens to textured, warm interiors, Ferox Studio’s work draws on natural materials and atmospheric light to tell layered stories. For Kirby, design is a process of discovery—the results are immersive environments that are portraits of place, shaped by creative intervention, light, memory, and atmosphere.
