Our story begins with the largest world expo in modern history

Fitted is built on the unique experience and expertise gained from working with 200+ countries and international organisations to deliver Expo 2020 Dubai, the largest and most diverse world expo in modern history.

Our team led concept development, content creation, design development and fit-out construction for over 100 country pavilions and exhibitions. These projects translated complex national priorities into engaging experiences for a global audience. They were conceptualised, designed and delivered under tight deadlines and multilayered stakeholder coordination.

Many of the country pavilions received international recognition, including 15 awards from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

As Expo 2020 gave way to Expo City Dubai, a mixed-use urban district and the new centre of Dubai’s future, our work continued to serve the mandate of the city. From delivering exhibitions and experiences for the city to helping businesses fit out offices, we play a critical role in bringing to life Expo City’s promise as the place to live, work and gather with purpose.

As a full design studio born from Expo City Dubai, Fitted is extending its services to entities seeking disciplined craftsmanship and precise delivery.

Our clients today span leading public institutions, businesses across diverse sectors, cultural establishments, NGOs, and organisations within the creative and experiential industries. Managing Director

Nadia Verjee

Nadia Verjee drives Fitted’s design, delivery and commercial performance.

With over 20 years of experience across government, multilateral institutions and complex city-scale initiatives, she has built and led projects that shape not only spaces, but systems.

At Fitted, Nadia brings that same discipline and ambition to the world of commercial and exhibition fit-out. She understands that great environments are not simply designed, they are procured intelligently, delivered rigorously, and built to perform.

As Executive Director at Expo City Dubai, Nadia’s work is centred on driving strategic partnerships and collaboration, shaping the city into a global knowledge and action hub for sustainable growth.

Nadia sits on the UN Global Compact Network UAE Board as an advocate for the advancement of the UN SDGs and principles of responsible business.

Born and raised in London, Nadia is of Kenyan and Indian heritage. She’s also a carpenter.

Director

Laith Al Hashemy

Laith is a Project Director with over 25 years of experience in the exhibition, event, and fit-out industry, delivering large-scale projects from initial concept and planning through to completion and handover.

Laith joined Expo 2020 Dubai in 2018 and currently holds a senior role within Expo Dubai Group, where he oversees the overall management and performance of major exhibition and fit-out projects. His responsibilities span project planning, design development, construction delivery, programme control, and performance monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and technical standards.
He brings strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, with extensive experience in commercial fit-outs, exhibition infrastructure, and turnkey delivery.

Laith holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Baghdad, is City & Guilds certified in Computer-Aided Design (2D & 3D), and is a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Director

Ayomiku Williams

Ayo leads Design and Experiences at Fitted.

He has over 18 years experience operating at the intersection of design, business and technology – and believes that the best spaces and experiences should not only provide empathy-based solutions, but also tell powerful stories through design.

Most recently, as Director of Story and Experience at Expo City Dubai, he is tasked with developing global experiences that amplify the city’s position as a global centre for innovation and sustainability.

Previously, he led a team of storytellers and pavilion designers that conceived and delivered over 100 International Participant pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai. Before joining Expo 2020, he co-founded West Africa’s first interactive, hyperlocal out-of-home advertising and digital content platform.

Ayo is a graduate of Architecture from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is an on-off judoka, avid chess player, motorcycle lover and skydiver.

Designer

Angelica Zapata

Angelica is a designer at Fitted with over eight years of experience shaping elegant interiors and immersive exhibition experiences. At Fitted, she focuses on translating ideas and concepts into thoughtfully crafted environments that balance form, function, and storytelling. Her work is driven by a deep understanding of spatial design and a passion for creating memorable experiences that connect people to spaces.

Assistant Project Manager

Santhosh Subramanian

Santhosh supports the delivery of interior fit-out projects for commercial and office spaces, as well as the build and execution of event and exhibition environments. He contributed to high-profile projects including pavilion constructions at Expo 2020 Dubai, COP28, Stories of the Nation at Expo City Dubai, retail and commercial fit-outs in major malls, and international exhibition stands such as WHX, along with multiple large-scale event setups and activations. Experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, quality-driven project delivery.

Associate Designer

Steven Alejandro

Steven is an Associate Designer/ 3D Visualizer at Fitted. He produces detailed Layouts, creates photo realistic 3D renders, and ensures that every concept or idea be visualised with precision and creativity.
