What does Xiaomi mean?

Xiaomi is a smartphone company headquartered in Beijing, China. According to its founder, Lei Jun, Xiaomi is a combination of “Xiao ” and “Mi”, where Xiao part ties in with the Buddhist concept that a single grain of rice is as great as a mountain and “Mi” is an acronym for Mobile Internet and also Mission Impossible, which refers to the struggles faced when the company was starting out.
