RULES

The "Vibe-to-Value" Requirement
  • Functionality is King: Because AI makes building fast, we expect more than just a UI mockup. Your application must be fully functional. A "vibed" app that looks good but has broken buttons or non-functional AI features will be disqualified.

  • Original Intent: You may use any AI tool (Lovable, Cursor, v0,TRAE etc.) to generate code at any time. However, the concept and orchestration must be your own. Submitting a project that is a 1:1 clone of an existing tutorial or template is prohibited.

2. Social Good Alignment (The "Impact Audit")
  • Purpose-Driven: Every "vibe" must serve a mission. Your submission must clearly explain which Social Good problem it solves.

  • Real-World Logic: Our lead judge (30 years of experience) will look past the shiny UI to ensure the AI logic actually addresses the problem. If you claim your app helps the visually impaired, it must actually have the accessibility features to back that up.

3. The "AI Transparency" Report
  • Tech Stack Disclosure: You must list the "Architectural Stack" (e.g., "Generated with Lovable/v0.dev/bolt, refined in Cursor/Github copilot/TRAE, deployed on Supabase").

  • The Workflow Narrative: On your Devpost submission, you must include a "How I Built This" section. We want to see how you steered the AI to reach your goal.

4. Technical Quality & "Vibe" Review
  • Code Soundness: Since AI can sometimes write "spaghetti code," our veteran judge will perform a Technical Audit. We are looking for:

    • Prompt Mastery: Does the app handle edge cases, or does it crash if the user inputs something unexpected?

    • Security: Even if AI wrote it, you are responsible for it. Apps with exposed API keys or massive security holes will be penalized.

  • The Live Link: A live, hosted URL is mandatory. If we can’t click through the "vibe" ourselves, it doesn’t count.

5. Submission Integrity
  • No Plagiarism: You cannot "vibe" a project that is someone else's intellectual property. If the judge finds the exact same app on another Devpost page or GitHub from a year ago, it’s an instant ban.

  • Demo Video: A 3-5 minute video is required. It must show the actual app in use, proving that the AI-generated features work as described.
