The pic is small here but if you click on it you can see it full size. These are the characters I'm working on as my personal project for fun. I love designing devils. The girl is in a corset-type thing because I haven't worked out what her clothing should be yet. If anyone can point me to a good online reference with 1920s style stage costume I would be most grateful.

Here is why. They are constantly tempting my wallet with gorgeous books that are usually beyond my budget. Occassionally I get lucky and find stuff like the oversized version of the Cabinet of Natural Curiousities for 70% off the original price, but usually, I am left drooling over a book I can't have.

In this case it is Magic, a 600+ page tome filled with awesome imagery. Look, look!








The cheapest I've seen it for is around £80.00 I must be good and twiddle my thumbs until it drops in price. It probably will after Christmas.

I'm totally seized with the urge to start this thing now. Have to finish work though.

I also had the masterclass today. I've been given a brief by the publisher but I can't tell you guys about it unfortunately because I've signed a confidentialty agreement.

Someone asked me how I colour my images for animation yesterday.
I have an older tutorial here but I decided to write a more detailed one. Also, Ade is going to help me with the colouring and he needs something to tell him how to do it!

This is going to be quite a long post with quite a few images...so bear that in mind if you're on a poor connection (I hate livejournal cuts..yes, I am mean.) Well the Old Harry's Game trailer is now underway with approval from mr. Hamilton himself (what a dude), so Here is a small bit of animation to start things off. By the way, if anyone is new to this, Old Harry's Game is a brilliant BBC radio 4 comedy set in hell.

I got a small art book called, appropiately enough, "Devils". Had interesting devil art through the ages. I liked this one from a Spanish Tarot card:




Devils are so much fun to draw! Evil is attractive!

If anyone has ever coloured an animation in Photoshop, or knows of any tutorials deailing with this sort of thing please let me know. I'm okay so far, but my frames wobble a bit, and I find it hard to get the characters to seem solidly in one place. If this makes sense, please email me at jonaginas@yahoo.com
