myself @ptrthomas and @kirksl are happy to submit Karate to this list, as the developer of the Java server-side I would claim that this is one of the cleanest Java (Netty based) implementations out there, and could be a good reference. here is the source code: karate/karate-core/src/main/java/com/intuit/karate/debug
