Double click to edit text

It would be great to edit a text object (text label or paragraph) with a double click (mouse). Of course, this can only work in "select mode".

I looked at it. It's too much pain to support double-clicks in this situation and on all platforms (Qt and Windows behave differently, the second click goes into a different component).
