HackBlitz 2025 - Official Rules

1. Dates:

  • Hackathon Start Date: 03rd August 2025 | 8:00 AM IST

  • Hackathon End Date: 03rd August 2025 | 8:00 PM IST

  • Last Date for Registration: 30th July 2025 | 11:00 PM IST

2. Eligibility:

  • Who can participate?
    This hackathon is open to students in Grades 9-12 from across India.

  • Age Requirements:
    Participants must be between the ages of 14 and 18 on the date of the event (03rd August 2025).

  • Team Composition:
    You may participate as an individual or as part of a team (maximum of 4 members). Teams can be from any educational institution, but each member must meet the eligibility criteria.

  • Restrictions:

    • Participants must register for the hackathon using valid email addresses.

    • Employees or immediate family members of the hackathon organizers, sponsors, or judges are not eligible to participate.

3. Project and Submission Requirements:

  • What to Build:
    Participants must create a solution that addresses a global health challenge using one of the following tracks:

    • AR/VR Development for healthcare

    • Internet of Things (IoT) for health devices

    • AI & ML for HealthTech

    • Blockchain for secure healthcare data management

    • Open Innovation to disrupt traditional healthcare systems

  • What to Submit:

    • Project Overview: A brief description of your solution.

    • Demo Video: 1-3 minute video showcasing your project.

    • Source Code: Link to GitHub repository with your source code and documentation.

    • Technical Documentation: Instructions on how to run and interact with your project.

    • Team Details: Names, roles, and contributions of all team members.

  • Submission Deadline:
    All submissions must be completed and uploaded on Devpost before 8:00 PM IST on 03rd August 2025.

4. Prizes:

  • First Prize:

    • ₹21,000 Cash + Hackathon Trophy + Certificates for all team members

  • Second Prize:

    • ₹11,000 Cash + Hackathon Trophy + Certificates for all team members

  • Third Prize:

    • ₹7,000 Cash + Hackathon Trophy + Certificates for all team members

  • Additional Prizes:

    • Special Mentions and Gifts for outstanding solutions in categories like Most Innovative, Best Use of AI, and Best Social Impact.

  • Participant Rewards:
    Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation, a Hackathon Kit (including T-shirt, swag bag, and brochure), and additional goodies.

5. Judging Criteria and Winner Selection:

  • Judging Criteria:
    Projects will be evaluated based on the following factors:

    • Innovation: Originality and creativity in the solution.

    • Impact: Potential to solve real-world healthcare problems.

    • Technical Merit: Complexity and quality of the technology used (AI, IoT, AR/VR, etc.).

    • Feasibility: Practicality and scalability of the solution in real-world healthcare settings.

    • Presentation: Clarity, coherence, and effectiveness of the demo video and project submission.

  • Judging Process:

    • Judges will review all submissions after the hackathon concludes.

    • The top projects from each track will be shortlisted for final presentations.

    • Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on 03rd August 2025, at 8:00 PM IST.

Code of Conduct:

All participants must agree to the Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment during the event:

  1. Respect for Others: Be respectful towards all participants, mentors, organizers, and judges. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

  2. Fair Play: All projects must be original work created during the event. Plagiarism or using pre-built solutions is strictly prohibited.

  3. Collaboration: Collaboration with teammates and mentors is encouraged. However, external help must be disclosed and comply with the event’s rules.

  4. Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of their projects but grant the organizers permission to use their work for promotional and educational purposes.

6. Code Quest Challenge:

  • Challenge Objective:
    Solve coding problems quickly and accurately.
    Participants are given coding puzzles to solve in a limited time. The first person to solve the problem, or the one with the most correct answers, wins.

  • Prizes:

    • Geeks for Geeks Course / 3-Month Plan for the top performer in the Code Quest Challenge.

  • Skills Developed:

    • Problem-solving, coding, quick thinking, and time management.
