Code of Conduct
At hackUMBC, it is a crucial aspect of our mission to embrace and promote inclusivity, accessibility, and ethicality. All participants are expected to respect both our rules and MLH’s Code of Conduct in order to facilitate a positive hackathon experience. Please notify an organizer if you witness or experience violations of either our rules or MLH's Code of Conduct.

MLH Code of Conduct

Project Rules

  • Submissions are only valid if worked on within the hacking period at hackUMBC (from 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 until 12:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025).

  • Any commits made in the project Github repo must have been made within this timeframe.

  • We do not accept cross-submissions from other hackathons, and your hackUMBC project may not be cross-submitted to other hackathons.

A violation of the Code of Conduct or project rules will result in disqualification and immediate removal from the event and a permanent ban on all future events hosted by hackUMBC. Violations will also result in further consequences with MLH.
