So, I know there are a few magic users around. I'm just wondering-- does anyone know anything about magical forcefields? Such as, say, how an interested party might go about getting rid of them?

[Her irritation manages to be obvious, even in text, even if it's spared the under-current of Russian profanities.]

Specifically wondering about the hypothetical odds that shooting small caliber rounds into it is helpful, versus the odds that it might preface someone ending up with a number of new body piercings.

You got yourself caught in a magical barrier? Not getting rusty in your dead age, are you?

As I understand them, either the bullet will go through without disrupting the barrier or you should be prepared to dodge ricocheted bullets.

I know a big fat dick's worth of nothing re: magic, but if you want some geekdom sprinkled in for fun, I'd seriously suggest not shooting it. Maybe throw something at it and see if it ricochets first? Don't hit me for this, but I kind of like your bod the way it is.

Magic is also Not Really My Thing, but seems to be Little Hades' favorite source of entertainment, frustratingly.

My phone bounced off, hence the question in the first place. And I kind of like my bod the way it is too, so you're safe. ;)

Take it as a sign. If your phone can't go through with a toss, imagine how many times a bullet's gonna bounce around in a shield.

Do you know what kind of magic it is? Most likely bullets won't do you any good unless you have ones coated with magic yourself.

No idea. Magic is not really my forte. So, no. No magic bullets, either.

Not without seeing what this is first hand. It doesn't sound like any spell I'm familiar with.

It's not really in my best interests to help someone shoot me. Just saying. And each shield is a little different, some the bullets will bounce right off and then end up who knows where. Some will actually destroy the bullets themselves.

A shield yes. Anything that stops physical objects is going to stop most physical objects, though bullets might put more of a strain on it if it's using a constant source of energy. Some can also stop heat and air and the like. Why are you trying to shoot someone?

Shooting one usually doesn't do much good. Goes through it or gets caught in it.

Getting rid of one? Counterspell or breaking the original spell usually works for me, but this is Hell and all.

I don't know anything about magical forcefields, but if you were to come across information regarding getting rid of magical, out of control glows, I'd appreciate it if you passed it along.

Makes it sound like you're having your own magical difficulties. I'll let you know if I hear anything but I'm not exactly a clearinghouse for magical information.

I have gotten through force fields before. But they weren't magic. It could be easy to find the source and eliminate it, yes?
