Happy 2016!
For Yuletide 2015, I wrote only one fic:
Old Dogs and New Tricks (4394 words) by implicated2

Characters: Agatha Wellbelove, Original Character, Penelope Bunce
Additional Tags: Dogs, Post-Canon, mild potty humor, Magic
Summary: Agatha, San Diego, one year later.
This wasn't a Yuletide where I felt like stretching myself, so it was nice to be matched with a prompt that invited a gentle gen fic about boundaries and dogs. I am pleased with what I wrote, and though not many people have read it so far (55 hits at last count), it seems to have gotten a positive reception from those who did.
Anyway, I was so spaced out at the time that I uploaded it that I forgot two very important things. The first was to include a summary, which I sheepishly added the morning after the collection opened. And the second was to thank my beta readermayhap, whose insights were responsible for the tone of the fic being light and comic rather than a giant mopefest. I've added a note to the fic. Thank you, mayhap!
I am still making my way through the rest of my Yuletide to-read list, a process made infinitely slower by the fact that I, like everybody else in the goddamn universe, have fallen head over heels into Hamilton and its associated Twitter/Tumblr/YouTube glory. And AO3 glory. For all my feeling distant from fandom, if I could figure out a way to write in this fandom that works for meand isn't the kinky rarepair het rpf I have inevitably started not-so-idly composing, I would be pretty excited about that.

Do you know the premise of Carry On? Slightly meta fictitious fanfic of a thinly veiled Harry Potter universe? Spells come from common phrases? Agatha is the love interest of chosen one and sort of hero Simon Snow, and her getting sidelined for the m/m relationship and basically only existing as a side character in Simon's story is pretty well lampshaded. At the end of the book, she gets away from the World of Mages and moves to San Diego with a dog she's just adopted.
There, now you probably know enough to get something out of it. :)

I was JUST about to ask if you'd like to beta-read this (less het, less rarepair, equally rpf) thing I started writing instead. Well, when (if?) I get a draft together.
As for the other, I will just say that I have a LOT of feelings about this video.
