I'm a shy middle-aged geek who has never grown out of reading children's books and playing in the garden. When I'm not walking my dog or weeding my garden or taking photographs, I can be found teaching English composition and literature at a community college, where I'm famous for my "romantic poets as lovers" metaphor. Among my secret super-powers is a powerful disapproving stare, and I'm not afraid to use it.
