So I upgraded and replaced the hard drive all by myself, which fixed my laptop just fine. \o/ *feels accomplished*
However, now every time I turn on my comp, my heart races. Out of fear. Cause I'm paranoid that my HD is going to die a horrible death again. "I can't lose you again, lappy!"
But it keeps me on my toes, I guess.
P.S. OMG startup is so fast now. :D *luvs it*

Date: 2010-09-26 02:50 am (UTC)Sadly, the last time I tried to start it up, there was no power. I think the battery needs a replacement. It's ten years old though, so it deserves a break.

Honestly, I'm surprised I've had my laptop for so long before it rebelled on me. I hope it'll still be somewhat functional by the time it hits the big 1-oh. Actually, just give me another 2 years *crosses fingers*
Oh and believe me, I did the dorkiest success dance when I put the new drive in.
I'm still oh so proud of my L337 drive replacing skills. :B
