Reply to this meme by yelling "words!", and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your journal and explain what they mean to you. Keep in mind that if I don't know you that well, your words might end up kind of esoteric/oblique.




1. Catastrophe
No matter how I look at it, this word means nothing to me. You can thank the mainstream media and the internet for that. A word meant to embed an abysmal sense of misfortune and disaster has now become a part of the generalized 'vocabulary grab bag' of the overly dramatic. (Trust me, I know all about grab bag vocabulary and overly dramatic). What do I mean? Earthquake in China? Sad. 9/11? Horrible. My friend carrying a tangerine tote bag with a dark green denim jacket? Total Fashion Catastrophe!


2. Triumph
The insult comic dog? I think it's a misconception that 'triumph' has to be an epic type of victory. Something as small as doing laundry or watering the garden can be considered a triumph. It's the little triumphs you experience everyday that make life great. (for me to poop on.)



3. Beagles
Well, yeah. I have one. I love them! Would I ever get another beagle? Probably not. Apparently, I hit the jackpot with Sherlock. Doesn't bark, listens pretty well (for a beagle, anyway) and is easy to train if I put a bit of effort into him. Although, I regret teaching him to 'shake'. Now he thinks repeatedly patting people with his paws 24/7 will get him treats. :/ Plus, I get sudden cravings for Bagels, which is delicious. Beagles, although cute, are not delicious. Even WITH creme cheese. And cream cheese makes everything delicious so that's saying a lot.



4. Pornography
So damn generalized, this word. What does it mean, really? What qualifies as pornography? A drop of dew sliding down the petal of a flower? A distant star exploding into a brilliant supernova? A raunchy gay porno? It's all encompassing. It's natural. Universal. Everywhere. Everything. It's as messy, gross, hilarious and beautiful as you make it. Take from it what you will- it's all the same in the end.


Hell, this can easily be considered pornography. At least, from 1:00 on.



To which, I'd be offended and disgusted by it if I wasn't creeped out and laughing so hard at the same time. That, to me, is pornography.




5. Horror
Uh- as a genre? I enjoy it. I'm desensitized to a majority of it like 99% of people. Plus- 99% of horror stuff is complete shit. Still, nothing beats the feeling of being scared shitless like an eight year old when you find something that just instills the essence of terror in you. Few and far between that those feeling occu- actually, now that I think about it, horror themed video games still scare the shit out of me.

Terror is good for you. Keeps you on your toes and makes your blood pump faster.

Ghosts still fucking scare me. *turns on nightlight*
