How I use this journal
Most of this journal is locked. I post about my day-to-day life, and I'm a very private person. I post about work, my husband, occasionally about politics and other current events. It's all quite mundane. I am also doing a 365-day question meme. I am not prone to deep, introspective musings. I also write about TV shows I enjoy -- not a lot, because I figure it bores people, but I might start writing more about that sort of thing. That said, I am not fannish and I'm not interested in things like fanfic. I post pretty much every day, and rarely go more than a day or two without posting something. I read my friends page daily (often a few times a day). I comment when I believe I have something useful to contribute to the conversation and it takes me time to get a sense of new people before I feel comfortable weighing with opinions! My list of interests below is quite out-of-date, I just haven't gotten around to updating it properly.

If you want to subscribe to my journal feel free to go ahead and do so without asking first. I will probably subscribe back most of the time.
If I subscribe to your journal, I don't expect you to reciprocate. But feel free to do so!
Feel free to unsubscribe from my journal at any time. No need to give me any explanation/warning. I reserve the right to do the same.
Access
I honestly have never really made much of the distinction between separate subscription and access here on Dreamwidth, largely because 99% of my posts have always been locked, so no one would have any real reason to subscribe only -- there'd be nothing to read. However, I am trying to do more public posts. Right now, that's mostlymy episode reviews of the current season of Outlander my answers to the daily meme question.
Anyway, I do NOT expect you to give me access to your journal just because I subscribed to yours. However, I pretty much always grant access if you subscribe to my journal because that's the only way you get to know me at all. If I grant you access I still don't expect you grant me access back automatically though it'd be nice if you did.
If you remove me from your access list, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. You don't have to tell me why, but I'd appreciate the head's up. I will then reciprocate.
