Everytime you get updates it means my RL is something I wish devoutly to avoid. Chotto disturbing, how much new manga I've been reading, and none of it yaoi. I think it's something terminal this time, doctor.

This is a public post because I'll be asking about another series here. But first, some Sanctuary-related stuff.

Here are some of the jacket covers for the Sanctuary novels, full of the rich creamy vitamin-enriched Asami/Hojo goodness. If you don't want to be spoilered, don't read the back covers, it's that simple.

If anyone wants in, leave a note. The more I think about it, the more I'm surprised by the level of appreciation. But then again, it's not exactly an easy manga to like. Maybe if you were a Tsutomu Takahashi (Jiraishin) type?

People in the filter, when hamayaki stops barfing up the zips, you'll get more.

Next manga: "Sexy Voice and Robo"

Super cute and funny okay?!!?!

Here's a couple of links to reviews by people who do this (semi-)professionally. And of course, what half-assed badly-constructed LJ post can miss out on a Wiki link. Oh, and it won a prize.

If you really want a summary here that bad, here's a one-sentence version: 14 year old girl with a talented mouth goes around interfering with people's lives with her sidekick, a 30-something gullible mecha otaku sidekick, AND gets paid to boot.

The angst about it not being complete is...like that. It screams for continuation mostly because it was good. And refreshing. But then again, if it had gone on for another X number of volumes (five series simultaneously and messily come to mind) it wouldn't be.

But otherwise it can end there. Hell, it fits. Quirky. I like it.

Anyway same old thing: If you want it leave a comment to see the filter.

...I like Sudo, okay? I just really like his lameass ways. By which I mean the mecha modelling thing, and the fondness for meat thing, and the absolutely clueless thing. Oh, and the specs thing. Did I mention the specs thing? Because that's important. That's practically a fetish requirement.

Also, everyone else in this book is damn funny. No, wait, cut it out. Supaaaa funny.

MORE MANGA PLEASE. This looks fun.

Re: school - motto --> "I WILL SURVIVE!!" Breathe! Rest! Relax!

Re: Sanctuary - GIVE ME A PAIRING AND I WILL WRITE YOU DRABBLES. I JUST CAN'T DECIDE WHICH PAIRING. (Well, within the A/H/T triangle anyway. ...I actually find Ozaki kind of hot too.)

But uh. what?? There's no relationship. Just read till the end first. Ozaki? I did see O/T later, but that's very much later.

Do something easy. Asami/Hojo. Don't feel obligated to do it if you're too busy or anything.

All I have so far:
It has been months since Asami has seen Hojo eating.

He finds he misses it - a feeling akin to his strange nostalgia for the days they were still eating rats, lizards, whatever they could catch. The desperation they had had back then was missing, but everything else remains curiously the same, a stage with a different setting; Hojo eating the grilled chicken off the skewer with tiny delicate bites, the thoughtful, almost considered, chewing, the lick of a tongue around the circumference of his lips for that last taste.

Asami thinks: it makes Hojo vulnerable to him, allowing him to see Hojo like this - more so than drinking or sleeping or fucking, and he has seen him through them all - somewhere in the back of his head, he has won at rock-paper-scissors again and Hojo is sharing the spoils, both their pale parchment skins painfully thin and chilled from the rain. Maybe it is the park, he thinks, looking up at the skeletal foliage, the dappled gravitas of late morning on a weekday, when Japan deigns not to remember her serene refugee camps from the bustle of the city. For all that the trees are different, the crunch of gravel under his feet is familiar, that of the brittle, dried out bones in shallow graves, and he thinks - in some ways, we never reached the border.

(Have been spoilering myself with the back covers, dare not write too much until I know exactly what happens.)

Am not too busy. Have been saying "screw it" to stuff, like my MCAT classes, because I couldn't be arsed to go Thursday night, and I cannot be bothered to haul myself outside for four hours for Orgo today when I can do it myself in my room in between lab reports and readings and papers, and will prob miss tomorrow's too, as it is General Chemistry. Am more worried about internships for the summer. Want to be away from the college, preferably New York or Boston, am twitchy about my chances and is not helped by friends going off to interview for banking internships all the time (=_=)
