I'm shocked. Shocked and appealed.
This kind of behavior from a supposedly reputable government is not just despicable, it's dangerous. Some would say that it's a sign of the times, but I feel it's a dangerous trend, a precedent that will taint the way we deal with foreign powers for years to come.
Seriously Mr. Bush, concocting evidence like this after we start talking about invading Iran? Before, you're supposed to "find" this stuff before talking about the invasion. It seems really believable when you're "responding to evidence". Instead, this revelation comes at a shockingly convenient juncture. That really hurts our case Mr. Bush, makes us look bad. What is this, amateur hour?
Thank goodness we found all this stuff about roadside bombs now! Now it doesn't seem at all crazy to start a multi-front war with most of the middle east! I'm so relived. For a while there, I thought Bush was just invading random countries so that his friends could get rich on bidless contracts, all while he distracted the public from his horrid domestic policy. But look! At just the right moment, we've got evidence, HARD EVIDENCE! Now we have to invade. Definitely. No choice. You see the serial numbers? Yep. Gotta do it.
Coincidence? Ploy? LIES?
You wound me sir. You wound us. Insinuating that we might ever invade a foreign nation under false pretenses. After all, their culture is backwards and we hate their politics. We need to go in and improve them. Uplift them you might say. Show them the ways of the LORD. Are we not the mightiest nation? Are we not the modern British Empire? The new Imperium? You could say it's our cause, our mission, our job to invade. Once we're done, they'll be so much more American!
Cause, you know, the roadside bomb thing... Sorry, what was I talking about?
I think I'm going to be sick.
