Video Gaming is a valid use of time! It teaches hand eye coordination! What? It's a valuable skill. No, I'm not kidding. It really is a valuable skill.

Reuters reports that Surgeons who play video games are more skilled than their counterparts.

So if you want your kid to be a doctor, get them into video games. Get them in early. In your face mainstream media. In. Your. Face.

Anyone ever tell you you write kinda like Wil Wheaton when you're geeking out?

In a good way.

Gotta agree with this. Just started my last VMT class and the more I think about this the more I realize how sport and video games probably played with my coordination. I actually have a fun defect that fooked my coordination skills when I was born but my parents started me in sports that cultivated the skill as a kid (dance, gymnastics, swimming, equestrian). I'm at a point where I can tell when my reflexes are not moving fast enough. Fortunatly I see this a lot more when we WoW and not when its really important, like when a horse is kicking.

The only weird thing I do is when I need to do sterile gloving (can't touch anything including most of the gloves and Dr. Bates reminds you of this the whole time), I close my eyes cause it's easier to visualize where my hands are going for some reason.
