"Qui s'y frotte s'y pique."

Fishy was... wet and fun. After getting confused with the directions I arrived about, euh... in time. I unloaded the car and went to troll in and suddenly the sky opened and threw water, and the EZup where troll was on my car. Once everybody was soaked, it stopped, and didn't happen again... People arrived slowly and eventually fencing started. It was a fun day. Some really great fencing. Most people were Tads and we're used to fence each other so that made for some relaxed and quite interesting bouts. I really feel like I fenced today. Also, aside from the double elim/buy a life back for Toys for Tots tourney, katnboots had a system of every participant giving a red bead to the person they thought had the most fun fight, and a blue one for the most courteous/honorable (remember people "Red is for fun, Blue is for Courtesy". I think lissa510 has the matching picture). That was neat, except I think most people would have loved more of these to distribute because, really, there was some very very pretty fencing.
So the result: the "new" Bhakail Baronial Rapier Champion is ianraven. The dreamy oaken_glen came second.
also, I got some gifties: a sideless surcote from violet_amy and some fresh herbs from Merewyn (I don't know if she's on LJ, probably). Thanks a lot to both of you :)
After the event, the initial idea to go dinner all together kind of fell through. I was one of the wimpy ones going home to finally dry (well, get a warm shower then dry clothes) and because for some reason my left foot was hurting. It's a little better now.
