Non-rendered edit not correctly recorded
I made an edit to a post to fix a problem with the raw Markdown. This was a change that has no effect on the rendered post (as expected, because the raw Markdown removed is an empty link syntax [](), which is correctly not rendered). The change is simply to remove the first 4 characters.
Raw Markdown before
[]()I'm used to pressing Enter in the edit summary box to submit an edit, as it works on Wikipedia and Stack Exchange, however, here, pressing Enter in the Edit Comment box doesn't submit, instead it inserts link syntax `[]()` into the post body.
Raw Markdown after
I'm used to pressing Enter in the edit summary box to submit an edit, as it works on Wikipedia and Stack Exchange, however, here, pressing Enter in the Edit Comment box doesn't submit, instead it inserts link syntax `[]()` into the post body.
Saving this edit sent me to a page saying "No changes were saved because you didn't edit the post":
However, attempting to edit the post again shows that the change to the raw Markdown was saved (the initial 4 characters are no longer present). Viewing the history for the post does not show up the edit, instead showing the initial revision as already lacking the superfluous []().
