Confusing message "Skipping 0 more comments" in inline thread
Under the Meta question Category activity notification indicators with a default filter I posted a comment in a thread that already had 5 comments (the most that show without viewing the thread in its own page). After posting the comment the thread showed the first 5 comments as before, but then showed "Skipping 0 more comments" before showing my new comment (all inline on the question page). I've blurred out the comment text to avoid distraction, but left all the comments in the screenshot to make clear that there are 5 above the skipping message, and 1 below:
This only appears for the person posting the comment, and only immediately after posting. Viewing the question in another tab shows only the first 5 comments (as expected) with the option to view the full thread in its own page, where all 6 comments show, with no confusing skipping message.
