I...don't know why I'm surprised. I guess...I didn't realize we'd actually dock somewhere that's home. Well...relatively speaking.
[The face on the feed is jovial, and when he shifts the camera to show off his bike...it's been taken down from its place of honor and sits parked in the middle of the main room in his cabin.]
Looks like my baby here's gonna get to spread her wings a little.
[He turns the camera back on himself, a broad grin shining from beneath the thick beard. It's clearer now that Opie's dressed to ride: leathers on, wearing his kutte discreetly under his leather jacket just to be safe. He doesn't want trouble, he just wants to ride...and ride, and ride, and ride...]
So I'll be out most of the time we're here. Guess us wardens got some shopping to do, so if any of you need a lift somewhere, I got an extra helmet. 'Side from that? Weed's legal here, bars look good, and pus--
[He censors himself, remembering there's kids around this boat...sorry, but you can't quite take the dad out of the biker, even after a run like Opie's had.]
--women are everywhere. I'm not exactly looking to party 'till I drop...but I'm feelin' less dead and I got a lot of shit I need to clear outta my head, so I plan to have a good time. Way I see it, I got this comin' to me.
[Not money, not answers, not even pussy. He's got this coming, but he's gonna deserve it, too. Do the work, let some road eat up the shit in his head, then he's gonna let some booze, weed, and maybe a warm body remind him that he's alive...and that that's okay. It's okay that he's alive, that he's free.
It's okay for him to have a life after all the shit.]
Just hit me up if anyone needs anything, 'kay?
[FILTER; Tig]
If your warden's letting you out, don't get into any barfights...unless I'm there to keep your ass from getting killed. We should hang, brother.

[True to his word, the first two days of Opie's time in Amsterdam alternate between shopping and riding. He packs a bedroll, and after acquiring some pot, spends his entire trip at a campsite close to the city, stretched out under the open sky with a joint to relax. Most of his list is medical supplies, but thankfully he doesn't have to navigate without knowing the lingo: he nabs most of his list without a problem, grateful there's so many English speakers about, specifically helpful locals who know more about the shit he's after than he does.
Opie's last two days are all about finishing up his shopping...and maybe a little bit of sightseeing. He's never really traveled before, outside of Belfast and he really didn't see shit. He wishes the kids were with him, but he'll see them soon enough. On one given afternoon, he can be found souvenir shopping in one of the local shopping districts, picking up some stuff to take home to Kenny and Ellie eventually...he even picks up a couple things for Donna, for the day he gets to see her again.
When night falls, however, Opie can be found pretty much anywhere in the red light district, enjoying himself with a stiff drink and any company he can find, be it in conversation or otherwise. On his last night, he will be out all night, enjoying every last second before he is forced to return to the ship again.]
