Hello, author! I am thrilled that you received one (or more) of my prompts, and I can’t wait to see whatever you come up with!

Before anything else, I want to be clear that all of the following likes, preferences, and prompts are solely to help guide you if you’re looking for some direction. As long as you stay away from the DNWs, I am totally happy to read anything you come up with for me. If you read my prompts and think, uh-oh, that’s not the direction I wanted to go — not a problem, go your own direction!

I love this pairing more than is sane or reasonable. Pretty much anything you do with it will be great, and I will so vastly appreciate it. I threw together some tags that I thought would work well for the pairing - maybe one or both characters is secretly pining for the other. In the H/C scenarios, I envision Bond as being the one who's comfort-starved and not used to being cared about. The Bond franchise is all about cars and chases and whatnot, so a road trip could be really interesting. Or maybe they get captured together, and Bond has to free them. Or Q has to free them! Or they work together to get free. There are a ton of possibilities here.

I only recently discovered this ship and am so incredibly into it. I love the dynamic between these two characters. For the first time and hurt/comfort tags, I could see them applying to either or both characters. For pining, I generally see that as Lestrade pining for Mycroft, but it could go the other way if that scenario speaks to you. And I will admit that I completely weak for "character picks out clothes for the other one" scenarios where the character doing the picking out is fussy about fashion and is also a big spender.

Some of the tags for this request speak for themselves. I see Martin as the one with self-esteem issues, and both Martin and Jon being characters who aren't used to being shown love/affection. The manipulation, gaslighting, inappropriate use of powers, etc., is coming from Elias (and maybe Peter Lukas). I love the idea of Elias misusing Beholding powers to know things about other characters and then using it against them. Like, he finds out that Martin has a praise kink and then uses that information mercilessly to manipulate him.

I would also be into dubcon scenarios where Martin agrees to...things, in exchange for being promised...other things. (I mean, there's a lot of possibilities for how to fill in those blanks.)

DNW for this pairing: Would prefer that Martin not be a trans character. (I know this is a popular headcanon, which is why I mention it.)

For original works pairings, I feel like most authors have an idea in mind when they select the pairing to match on, so if you already have a solid concept in mind, definitely go ahead with that one!

That said, my take is that I see these as variations on the same fundamental theme of a strong, protective character paired with someone who's less sure of himself, or who is more intellectual/bookish/etc. Maybe the strong, protective character is initially resistant of being placed in that role but then comes to admire/respect/love the intellectual character. Or the intellectual character is resistant to being protected, but comes around in the same way. Or both simultaneously!

I also like the idea of one of the characters violating their moral principles in some way - maybe the good man holding the ruthless killer's leash lets him go off-leash "for the greater good" and then is angsty about it. Or the ruthless killer lets someone go that normally he wouldn't, because he wants the good man's approval.

This obviously lends itself well to enemies-to-lovers scenarios, but I think there are a lot of ways you could go with it. Maybe the enforcer had been mind controlled or otherwise coerced by the dark lord and is now relieved to be freed. Or maybe the brainwashing is going to take a while to wear off, and the dark lord killer is going to have to deal with that. Maybe the dark lord killer was provoked into killing the dark lord because the dark lord was about to hurt/kill the enforcer - the "nobody gets to hurt you but me" trope coming into play. Or maybe the enforcer wasn't coerced at all and is just legitimately a bad guy, but has trouble processing the mercy shown him by the dark lord killer.

Pairing: Merman/Captain's Daughter Offered as Sacrifice

Oh boy, I couldn't not take this prompt. Whoever came up with this one, I love you. I see the daughter as having some pretty severe self-esteem issues after having been offered up as a sacrifice like this, and possibly also being affection and love-starved. The merman, of course, ends up providing those things to her, although maybe there's a lot of angst along the way. The merman can be as villainous or as kindly as you see fit. I'm also fine with any amount of xeno, from full tentacles to nothing (i.e. merman can transform into full human if he wants, or whatever).

Aaaaand here we are at my guilty pleasure ship. If you write me a story for this ship, bless you. I love all the usual tropes around this ship, like Tony picking out Peter's clothes for him or being a de facto sugar daddy. I love Peter being head over heels for Tony but thinking he's unattainable, but Tony loves him back but hates himself for it. About the only thing I don't like in this ship is a dark Tony who is predatory/dubcon/noncon against Peter. I usually love dubcon/noncon but not in this ship.

In terms of relative ages, obviously this is frequently an underage ship, and I'm okay with that but please make Peter at least 16. If you want to age him up into his late teens, that's cool too.
