Hello, author! I am so excited that you received one (or more) of my prompts, and I can’t wait to see whatever you come up with!

Before anything else, I want to be clear that all of the following likes, preferences, and prompts are solely to help guide you if you’re looking for some direction. As long as you stay away from the DNWs, I am totally happy to read anything you come up with for me. If you read my prompts and think, uh-oh, that’s not the direction I wanted to go — not a problem, go your own direction!

OK, that out of the way, I’ve listed some general likes and preferences below, followed by more specific likes and prompts for each request. Some of the items below may be in direct conflict with each other, and that’s just because my interests and likes are broad and wide-ranging. You could never use all of this in a single fic, and I wouldn’t expect anyone to try!

Pairing: James Bond/Q

I love this pairing more than is sane or reasonable. Pretty much anything you do with it will be great, and I will so vastly appreciate it. I have been on board for this ship ever since their first meeting in front of The Fighting Temeraire, when Bond tells Q all he sees is a “bloody big ship.” There’s a ridiculous amount of chemistry between them in that scene, and I was off and running! I love scenarios where one or both of them is pining for the other, I love hurt/comfort between them (with an emphasis on the comfort!), and I love references to their size difference. I’m not sure about the actors, but certainly in the films, Bond is portrayed as athletic and big, and Q is more willowy. I have not yet seen No Time to Die, FYI, although I’m okay if you want to incorporate it and spoil it as I’m not worried about spoilers. (Also more than okay if you want to ignore it, of course.)

Peter Pan

Pairings: James Hook/Wendy Darling

This is one of the first pairings I ever shipped, before I even knew what shipping was! There’s an age and power difference here, obviously, with Hook having the upper hand (pun intended), although there are also possibilities for him to be enthralled with Wendy to the point that the power shifts in her direction. In terms of scenario, this could happen in Neverland, or back in the real world. It could also happen contemporaneous with the events of the book, or it could take place later on, with Wendy a grown woman. I’d also be entirely happy with AUs of these characters. My only request is that if you set it in the time of the books, please age Wendy up a little bit. I think she’s canonically 12-13, but (per my DNWs) I would rather only see fic with postpubescent characters, so in the 15-16 range would be better.

The Hunt for Red October

Pairing: Jack Ryan/Marko Ramius

My headcanon for this pair will always be the Sean Connery version of Ramius and the Alec Baldwin version of Jack Ryan. I’d be interested to see them gravitating towards each other, feeling chemistry that maybe they aren’t quite sure what to do with. (Or maybe Ramius knows exactly what to do with it.) I don’t have a lot of specific ideas for this one, but I love the pairing and would be fascinated with any fic that brings them together, so let your imagination run wild.

Star Trek: The Original Series

Pairing: Leonard “Bones” McCoy/Spock

I love the dynamic between these two characters, the constant sniping and barbs, underlaid with real affection. I also dig when Spock tries to pretend that he’s not having any emotions at all about McCoy, nosiree, while still unleashing acidly hilarious sarcasm at him all the time. For this pairing, I really like scenarios involving hurt/comfort, McCoy mending Spock’s injuries, being trapped together somewhere, or the all-time classic sex pollen. And of course so much pining they could populate a fjord with it.

Pairing: Bertram “Bertie” Wooster/Reginald Jeeves

I think this is a really hard pairing to get right, so I was a little reluctant to include it in my requests, but then I figured, what the hell, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, right? If you think you can do justice to this amazingly perfect duo, then I am cheering you on all the way. Fine with any POV here — first person suits especially well, but if you aren’t comfortable with that, third person works too. Godspeed, author.

Teen Wolf

Pairings: Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski, Chris Argent/Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski

Peter and Stiles is my OTP. This ship has everything: age gap, power dynamics, sarcasm, and werewolves. Pretty much anything you write for them will be totally fine for me. I am here for any and all scenarios, up to and including AUs. Just to kick out some ideas I think would be cool if you need more specific inspiration:

Going on a road trip together
Stiles has PTSD from the Nogitsune and goes to Peter for help
Peter recognizes that Stiles is literally the most valuable person in the pack and steals him away to form his own pack with
Peter gets sex pollened and Stiles voluntarily helps him (yeah, I love sex pollen fics, I can’t help it)

The other pairing I listed was Chris/Peter/Stiles, which I think also has a lot of possibilities. I like the idea that Chris and Peter maybe have some history going back, and Stiles enters the mix somehow — maybe he serves as a buffer to help them get past some of their previous antagonism, or maybe they’re jealous over him. I could go for a super angsty fic with this pairing, or a super fluffy fic. I am just really into the dynamic.

The Magnus Archives

Pairings: Elias Bouchard/Martin Blackwood, Elias Bouchard/Tim Stoker, Jonathan “Jon” Sims/Martin Blackwood/Sasha James/Tim Stoker, Martin Blackwood/Michael “Mike” Crew, Martin Blackwood/Tim Stoker

For Elias/Martin and Elias/Tim, I definitely see those as involving dubcon or even noncon, with Elias manipulating Martin or Tim into doing his bidding. For Tim specifically, I like the idea of Elias punishing Tim for being mouthy and disobedient. I love the idea that Tim is being mouthy and disrespectful because what’s Elias going to do, fire him? And then he finds out that there is so, so much more Elias can do to him than just fire him.

For Jon/Martin/Sasha/Tim, I think it would be cool to see that come about as the result of a Leitner, but then they all realize that they liked it. You can mix and match the pairings in this group of 4 any way you want to.

Martin/Tim and Martin/Mike Crew are just me wanting Martin to have something nice, outside the canonical Jon/Martin ship (I’m not NOT a Jon/Martin shipper, I’m just more interested in these side ships.) I like the idea of Tim being attracted to Martin and Martin thinking, wtf, why? And being baffled by it but still really into it. And Mike Crew is just a wild ship that I would be fascinated to see a fic about. I’ve read a couple that did some really interesting and unexpected things with that relationship, which is what fired my imagination.

Original Works

Pairings: Spoiled teen/their elite bodyguard, Strict Teacher Who’s Had Enough/Rebellious Student Caught Cheating on the Final Exam

For original works prompts, generally I assume that when authors/artists select them, they already have something fairly specific in mind, so I won’t go into a ton of detail here on additional prompting. For the spoiled teen/bodyguard, you can make the teen as spoiled or unspoiled as you want; I’m not really attached to the “spoiled” part of the prompt, necessarily. And for the teacher/student, I think you could play with power dynamics there, with the rebellious student pushing back at the teacher until the teacher snaps and does something they really, really didn’t plan to do. (But you could go a million ways with these prompts, so please feel free to go wherever your muse takes you.
