Hello, author! I am so excited that you received one (or more) of my prompts, and I can’t wait to see whatever you come up with!

Before anything else, I want to be clear that all of the following likes, preferences, and prompts are solely to help guide you if you’re looking for some direction. As long as you stay away from the DNWs, I am totally happy to read anything you come up with for me. If you read my prompts and think, uh-oh, that’s not the direction I wanted to go — not a problem, go your own direction! Some of the best gifts I’ve ever received are scenarios I never would have thought of myself, so please get as creative as you want.

OK, that out of the way, I’ve listed some general likes and preferences below, followed by more specific likes and prompts for each request. Some of the items below may be in direct conflict with each other, and that’s just because my interests and likes are broad and wide-ranging. You could never use all of this in a single fic, and I wouldn’t expect anyone to try!

Peter Pan

Pairing: Captain James Hook/Wendy Darling

This is one of the first pairings I ever shipped, before I even knew what shipping was! I love the age and power difference, and I think there are a lot of possibilities to explore with that. Hook has the upper hand (pun intended) in terms of power, strength, and resources, but Wendy is clever and resourceful as well, so maybe she turns the tables on him. (Or maybe he lets her turn the tables on him!)

In terms of scenario, this could happen in Neverland, or it could be back in the real world. It could happen contemporaneously with the events of the book, or it could take place later on, with Wendy a grown woman. I’d also be entirely happy with AUs of these characters set in different times/places. My only request is that if you set it in the time of the books, please age Wendy up a little bit. I think she’s canonically 12-13, but (per my DNWs) I would rather only see fic with postpubescent characters, so in the 15-16 range would be better.

James Bond

Pairings: James Bond/Q

I love this pairing more than is sane or reasonable. Pretty much anything you do with it will be great, and I will so vastly appreciate it. I have been on board for this ship ever since their first meeting in front of The Fighting Temeraire, when Bond tells Q all he sees is a “bloody big ship.” There’s a ridiculous amount of chemistry between them in that scene, and I was off and running!

I love scenarios where one or both of them is pining for the other, I love hurt/comfort between them (with an emphasis on the comfort!), and I love references to their size difference. I’m not sure about the actors in real life, but certainly in the films, Bond is portrayed as athletic and big, and Q is more willowy.

Pretty much any of the usual tropes for this pairing are totally a-ok with me. Bond breaking into Q’s flat: great! Q eavesdropping on Bond all the time via technology: equally great! Q has cats: sure! Bond and Q flirt incessantly over the comms: yes please! (that one’s actually canon, I believe.) I just want to see the relationship between these two and how it develops.

I have not seen No Time to Die, FYI, although I’m okay if you want to incorporate it and spoil it as I’m not worried about spoilers. (Also more than okay if you want to ignore it, of course.)

Star Trek: The Original Series/Star Trek: Alternate Original Series

Pairing: Leonard “Bones” McCoy/Spock

DNWs for this prompt: Other pairings with the main two characters (i.e. please no Uhura/Spock, Bones/Kirk, Bones/Kirk/Spock, etc.)

Note on canon: I ran out of nomination spaces, so while I am nominating this under TOS, I’m also happy to get fic for the AOS canon. I have seen and enjoyed both canons and I like the versions of the characters from both, so please feel to choose whichever you prefer.

I love the dynamic between these two characters—the constant sniping, but underlaid with real affection. I also dig when Spock tries to pretend that he’s not having any emotions at all about McCoy while unleashing acid sarcasm at him all the time. For this pairing, I really like scenarios involving banter (angry or otherwise), hurt/comfort, McCoy mending Spock’s injuries, mutual pining, or being trapped together somewhere. Pon farr scenarios are also very welcome. If you want to get into Vulcan lore, please feel free to explore that as well, because I eat that stuff up.

As an additional note, if you choose to go E-rated with this (which would be extremely welcome, please feel free to use whatever headcanon you like for Vulcan anatomy. I’m totally fine with xeno characteristics if you want to get weird. (Also totally fine with normal human-style anatomy too, of course.)

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Pairing: Jean-Luc Picard/Q

John de Lancie’s portrayal of Q was everything to me when I watched TNG the first time. Watching him strut around the bridge of the Enterprise, taunting and draping himself all over Picard, and watching Picard try and fail over and over again not to get sucked into his schemes…I love every second of it.

I’d love to see an exploration of the “I hate you but I’m drawn to you” dynamic between these two. Q is clearly obsessed with humanity in general, but with Picard very specifically, and you get the sense that Picard is preening with the attention even while claiming to hate it.

Some ideas for prompts if you’re looking for inspiration: maybe playing with Q’s ability to stop time could be fun. Or Q kidnaps Picard away from the ship and takes him off to be his plaything for a while. Maybe Q loses his Q-powers and Picard has to deal with him (which has actually happened in canon, but of course feel free to go your own way with it; in fact, please do, because I did not love that episode). Really, any exploration of the prickly, fraught, but seemingly obsessive relationship these two have with each other would be absolutely fantastic.

The Magnus Archives

Pairings: Martin Blackwood/Michael “Mike” Crew, Martin Blackwood/Michael “Mike” Crew/Tim Stoker, Martin Blackwood/Tim Stoker, Martin Blackwood/Peter Lukas, Martin Blackwood/Sasha James/Jonathan Sims/Tim Stoker

First off, this request is an exception to my noncon DNW. Noncon is fully on the table for this request.

So, going pairing by pairing for this request:

I am absolutely fascinated by the Martin/Mike Crew pairing. Mike Crew is this eldritch being wearing a human suit, more or less, but does seem like one of the more human of the avatars. And Martin is just trying his best, dammit. I love the idea that Mike sees in Martin something worth protecting, or that Martin is drawn to Mike for…eldritch reasons. Uses of Mike’s weird “dropping you from a long distance” power would be highly welcome, especially if Martin ends up perversely enjoying it. Introducing Tim into it for Martin/Mike Crew/Tim would be very welcome as well - maybe Tim is mostly into Martin and goes along for the ride, or maybe Tim is just past caring about his personal safety or well-being and throws himself headlong in a relationship with an avatar of the Vast, because at this point, fuck it, who cares!

I am kind of obsessed with the Peter Lukas/Martin Blackwood relationship and how Peter Lukas basically Stockholms him into joining The Lonely. I love how cheerful and nonchalant Peter Lukas always sounds in his interactions with Martin and others, and I think it would be fascinating/hot to see that play out in an noncon or dubcon situation.

Martin/Tim is probably the sweetest and least creepy/dubconny of the requested relationships, although certainly in this canon, literally any relationship can turn creepy and/or dubconny. But I like the idea of Tim and Martin coming together and Tim looking out for Martin (or vice versa) - the idea of two lost souls in a maelstrom clinging to each other for safety and warmth. Prompt idea: Tim worshiping Martin’s body and Martin feeling uncomfortable yet turned on by the praise.

Lastly, I love the idea of a Leitner (or something) forcing Jon and the assistants into some kind of mass orgy, particularly if they don't realize that they're being nonconned until after the event is over. Although having them aware and horrified during the event could also be interesting, particularly if they're having a really good time.

Chernobyl

Pairing:Valery Legasov/Boris Shcherbina

"Of all the ministers and all the deputies, an entire congregation of obedient fools. They mistakenly sent the one good man. For God's sake, Boris, you were the one who mattered most."

There is canonically a very unhappy ending for these two, but please feel free to give them some other ending, if you can see a way. Their relationship had an amazing arc throughout this series, from Boris telling Valery, "good, I understand now how a nuclear reactor works. Now I don't need you," to the quote above from Valery to Boris.

I would love to see any story showing how these two men find their way to each other - romantic, smutty, or both.

Note: for this prompt, I am DNWing dubcon. Additionally, I'm okay with an exception to my broken bones/injuries DNW for background characters (i.e. if you need to describe radiation burns, etc., that's ok) - just please not for the two main characters.

Teen Wolf

Pairing: Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski

Love Peter and Stiles. This ship has everything: age gap, power dynamics, sarcasm, and werewolves. Pretty much anything you write for them will be totally fine for me. I am here for any and all scenarios, up to and including AUs (bodyguard AU and teacher/student AU seem like particularly good fits, but again, I'll read anything).

Bioshock Infinite

Pairing: Rosalind Lutece/Robert Lutece

I am so totally 100% here for Lutece-cest. These twins are so creepy and weird and so clearly, clearly, clearly hot for each other. (Or is it self-cest? Or is it both?) I would love to see an exploration of this relationship. Are they completely fine with it, and damn the rest of the world? Are they conflicted? Does one of them have to be dragged kicking and screaming into this relationship that they obviously both want? What’s it like having sex with someone who’s basically the gender-swapped version of yourself? Do they like the same things in bed? Do they speak in unison? I need to know these things!

Explorations of the weird Bioshock Infinite universe are also highly welcome. If you want to do some plotty worldbuilding, I am here for it! I am also here for PWP Lutece-cest, so please feel free to let your freak flag fly as much or as little as you want.

Dragon Age

Pairings:Morrigan/Alistair, Loghain Mac Tir/Morrigan

I love the relationship between Morrigan and Alistair, especially in the first game. She’s constantly needling him and cutting him down, but over time she seems to develop a deeper understanding of his character. For his part, I think he’s instantly attracted to her on a superficial level, but then equally comes to understand that she’s a whole, complete person. Prompt ideas: Alistair is injured and Morrigan has to try to use healing power on him, which she’s not very good at. Or Alistair and Morrigan get lost somewhere together and have to work together to find their way out. Or it’s post-game and he invites her to the castle after he’s king and they end up having a torrid secret affair. Or you could frankly just give me another Dark Ritual fic and I’d love that. I’m here for pretty much anything!

For Morrigan/Loghain, I think it’s even more interesting — here’s this battle-worn old general, faced with a Witch of the Wilds. What does he think of her, and what does she think of him? If they end up in the Dark Ritual together, how does that play out and does it change their feelings? (What if Loghain is an attentive, caring lover, which Morrigan wouldn’t have been expecting?)

(as a side note, my first playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins ended with my Warden refusing to execute Loghain, Alistair throwing a tantrum and leaving the party (with all our best gear!), and Loghain having to do the Dark Ritual. It was pretty wild.)

For original works, I like to go light on the prompts, because I assume that most authors probably already have a good idea of where they want to go with any particular prompt. A few ideas I’ll throw out that I’d particularly enjoy (although as always, don’t feel constrained to use these:

The Obsessive Older Brother doesn’t like to let his younger brother out of his sight — drives him to and from school, goes to his chess club practices and lurks in the corner looking broody, etc. It’s an almost stalkery level of obsession, but the younger brother has grown up with this and thinks it’s totally normal and anyway, he really loves his brother, so what’s the big deal?

Maybe the Pirate Captain captures the Navy Captain Nemesis and then isn’t quite sure what to do with him once he’s got him. Maybe they start talking about mutual interests and then they realize they’ve been talking for hours, and they’re both confused and turned on.

Naive flower shop son has an inkling that the mob boss is paying entirely too much attention to him and shouldn’t be hanging around the flower shop so much, but he seems like a really nice guy, so it’s not such a bad thing, right?
