YOUKAI: Daitengu - going by the name Hibiki, a somewhat reformed spirit turned sage after pulling themselves off the full demonic path and getting their life together. Guide and guardian who was used to being consulted, but still worldly and slipping back towards baser instincts to keep their identitiy together. Actually half fused with Emily at this point, and thus liable to pilot the body as much as her. Cryptic, fond of being amused, and occasionally completely detached from reality.
FAVE HAUNTS: Assuming that the blood rain isn't a thing, Emily tends to go around the city at her leisure. She had a schedule of searching for useful items every week in the abandoned buildings, and was also regularly going to the forest to gather medicinal plants and pray to the Forest Shrine. She's also struck up a friendship with the youkai who run a small bookshop, and whiles away some hours there delving into old and new literature. Really, though, she might end up anywhere depending on her mood.
DESIRED CR:
"Everyone" is a cheating answer, so instead I'll try to be more specific. Adults who want to make friends is something I'm always open to, and anyone who's willing to actively help the shrines is someone Emily would want to know, since she's now deeply invested in seeing the city aided. Acquaintances who want to talk about books, their own world, or being willing to cook together would also be fantastic! She might live alone, but she's not the sort who wants to be lonely.
Negative CR is also a thing I welcome with open arms, since you can't please everyone and Emily has a tendency to occasionally be judgemental or precisely petty if she feels slighted. It's not helped by living with a youkai in your head, and she as well can evade giving a direct answer to a frustrating degree when she feels like it. Anyone that actually might be distrustful of fixing the city or be more inclined towards the onmyouji would definitely hit that button also.
I'd be down for youkai CR, now that I've hammered out more of Hibiki's actual self and they're more out and about. Those who might have come and consulted when they were actively dispensing advice as a sage, those who might have been friends, anyone to deride their efforts at self improvement since they're not really the best example to follow...the sky's the limit when it comes to them!
OFFERED CR:
Emily is very generally friendly and open to teamwork, with a high level of acceptance towards the ridiculous despite being more practical. She's willing to help anyone that needs it, and is generally adaptable and sympathetic to problems, though her instinct is for flight over fight. Overall she looks like an adult with things being held together, and so she's a very constant source of support to those that require it.
As a practicing doctor, she has a sign on the ground floor of the apartments with her hours and contact information for those that require it. Since she's made no efforts to conceal this, maskbearers are free to handwave they know she's out there and to ask for whatever they need be it routine or emergency. Now that she has stronger magic, she's able to assist more, and she doesn't ask for very much in exchange - food or future favors are as valuable as money is to her.
Also, I'm open to handwaving introductory CR and just OOCly plot how our characters have met so we can jump straight to the center of things!
FUTURE PLANS: Throwing her weight behind anything that can help the Lake Spirit is her primary goal at the moment, since she tried and failed to resolve that from a healer's angle. As it is, she's also very against helping the onmyouji, in part because she went and fused with her youkai for stronger magic. OOCly, if there's a way I can help people go towards plot or get your dreams realized, I'd love to do so!

If that doesn't work for you they could meet at the bookshop since Soo Won would be very interested in researching this place and youkai in general as he tried to discover what the onmyouji are planning. I'm always interested in youkai cr too. Miyako is a mute musician that loved humans but was betrayed by a human she loved and was almost killed when her lover trapped her in a burning building. She doesn't remember her past besides a few vague memories though.

DESIRED CR: All! But really, I've been here for about two months now, and I'm thriving on getting this boy some good substantial CR. Romantic, platonic, familial, I crave everything. Want to become a rival or enemy? Sure! Give me that sweet negative CR. Mostly I thrive on having him form connections, especially since he had so few canonically and is known to emotionally distance himself from others while simultaneously being willing to give his life for just anyone nice to him.
He's currently forming an army of rowdy teenage boys that follow him around, and the more, the merrier! Drinking buddies and possible cuties for him to obnoxiously flirt with and be a goofball to are always fun as well!
I'm also currently trying to form more youkai CR with his amabie, Akari. I've recently finished fleshing out her story and personality, and I'm looking forwards to seeing how they grow both together and as individual personalities!

Gojyo here is an outwardly friendly extrovert with no filter and a rough and tumble attitude. He has a weak spot for cute girls and kids but tends to distance himself the moment things start getting too heavy emotionally. That is because he himself is not used to a world where people treat him in a casually friendly manner. He has been ostracized a lot back home due to his past and his (spoiler: not human) heritage. And his life was filled with nothing but negative experiences because of it. Because of that, he spent most of his life simply surviving, and a lot of his attitude shows it. He's a punk who has a very street-savvy attitude and a great way of reading people. His people reading skills are actually good enough to the point that he made most of his income gambling professionally, so feel free to stop by the bar and play a game of poker or mahjong with him some time~ He is getting a little low on his funds these days, after all.
FUTURE PLANS: As stated above, I'm really trying to develop and solidify his relationships here, so the more formed, the better! He only had a small handful of people he was ever attached to in his life, and most of their outcomes didn't end well. So I would love to see him build that sense of trust with people here.
I am planning on steadily developing his youkai's personality more as well. Perhaps even planning on giving him a mermaid tail (or two or three) some time soon. As well as some glowy healing abilities. I also want him to have a momentary slip where his youkai takes hold of him entirely. It just recently happened for the first time, and I want those lines between him and Akari to blur more and more as he comes to terms with both her possession of him as well as his own inhuman genetics.

I love the weird relationship these two have developed. Utsume doesn't understand why you deal with him, Gojyo. It'd make more sense if you just left him alone, hahaha. Gojyo's in this strange category of what he figures amount to friends, not that any of his friends at home aren't strange, but they are few. He kiiind of reminds him of them in some aspects, but then Gojyo's still wholly his own brand of unusual.

YOUKAI: An Okami named Kyou. Kyou is very self-righteous and has a strong sense of justice, but sadly he views it in a very black and white perspective of the world, as he believes that once a bad person, always a bad person. And when he loses control is worse. He actually gets along with Kanae even if he constantly reprimds her for being "too good" and have so much empathetic for people he considers not deserving. Upon the Lake Spirit incident, they lived in harmony, but after that, Kyou has causing quite trouble to Kanae.
FAVE HAUNTS: You'll find Kanae often in her Apartments (where she established her small clinic), the Yamazaki Bar and also the Hana-Tei.
DESIRED CR: As I said before, Kanae can be the best older sister you ever wish, but sometimes the nurturer also needs another who takes care of them, so I open for Kanae to have mentor figures and people older than her whom she can talk about her problems and stuff. I also had been enjoying the relationships Kanae had been building in these last montsh with other characters, and I intend to explore those relationships futher and even more now that Kanae has been a victim of rainblood. As for Kyou, he also needs to make friendships or rivalries with other youkai, specially if they oppose to his black and white view of life.
OFFERED CR: Older sister figure for younger characters, someone who needs mentoring of more mature adults, professional relationships with another medical characters, and also drinking buddies, she needs those too!. And also a rivalry if someone wants to challenge her ideals.
FUTURE PLANS: Continue developing Kanae (specially by how much she has changed after Shinobu's death in game and was affected by the rainblood) as a character and solidify all the relationships I have created with her so far, and also pretty open to new ones that may had surged in the latest threads!

YOUKAI: Souta, kotengu. A relatively young (for a youkai) kotengu, he's a selfish thief who stole things out of pride and survival throughout his life. If anyone want youkai CR, they can know him as a brat who cause trouble with his thefts.
FAVE HAUNTS: Yamazaki Bar, Hana-Tei and the Bath House. If he's not at there or his apartment room, Norimune would go out for a stroll or scavenge for supplies.
DESIRED CR: Beside everyone? Warriors he could spar with, since he's a sword tsukumogami. Despite being an old man, he's still quite good with a blade!
Young people for him to adopt and tease, especially if they're "imperfect" in some way. Perfect and/or mundane things usually bores him. Or people he can casually manipulate into doing chores for him.
Fellow "old" people to hang out with, or just adults, since he IS an old spirit. He used to be a former family head/"boss", so he used to be in charge but now he wants to have fun.
Negative CR would be neat, as I don't expect everyone to go along with his POV on things or how he does things.
OFFERED CR: Local annoying old man who doesn't know when to shut up, or trying to get folks into doing bothersome things for him.
He can be a good buddy to chat with over tea or sake, or help people train in sparring. Despite his personality, he can be insightful and a good listener to your problems/worries. His old age and long experience can be helpful in some way. He can also help other people out with their tasks, either because he likes them, find it interesting or see a good opportunity involved in it.
FUTURE PLANS:
Youkai
- Hoping to get him to start showing physical changes, maybe feathers.
- Wind magic practice with his kotengu. How successful? Varies.
- Souta slowly opening up and starting to care? He definitely doesn't want his host to DIE, as much as he hates (?) Norimune.
- Starting to influence Norimune more with his selfishness, pride and temptation to steal shinies. I want Norimune stealing from other characters, so let me know if you want this.
Personal
- Finding a blacksmith or a possible solution for his future weapon repairs worries. He can do basic maintenance with whatever he scavenge, but actual repairs when he get cracks or worse is something he wants to address. He rather not die, you know.
- Address his existential crisis aka his feelings about love and being associated as Okita Souji's sword at some point, so people he can talk with about this in the future.
Otherwise, making new CR or deepening current ones, plus seeing whatever he can get involved in (accidentally or purposely).

YOUKAI: Gene's yokai's is an Uwabami named Akari and is a white snake with red eyes. She is mostly feral with some advanced intelligence and pride remaining. She mostly communicates with feelings and actions rather than words. Akari is now Gene's reluctant friend, and can be protective of him.
FAVE HAUNTS: He is all over the place (when he needs to for CR) but he can found at the bar if he's given into his cravings that day. We would be at the Ramen shop as well but since it's missing...no tasty ramen for him. :(
DESIRED CR: I'm open to all kinds of CR. Especially CR that brings out his wisdom, kindness, and playfulness.
OFFERED CR: He can be a bit of a flirt and playful, especially with people he's close to. He's kind, gentle and while it takes a lot for him to get angry since he has a twin that's a bit of an asshole, it is possible. But he has some scars from his past as a medium (since he was young) and his murder which makes him wise and sometimes serious. While his yokai urges make him want to drink and eat tons, he is trying to stop drinking since it has caused some people to worry about him. And he worries about his body taking in this much alcohol and food.
FUTURE PLANS: Since he's been so open and carefree with Akari, he has some snake characteristics such as snake fangs, teeth, scales, and eyes. He already is suffering from a nearly insatiable appetite for food and drink but he will also start having issues with being lied to. I want him to be more involved with the events and maybe help more spirits.
ANYTHING ELSE: Because of perfectionism and motivation issues, it can be hard for me to tag. Unfortunately, that means my tagging can be erratic. I am trying to get better but I feel like I should warn people of that. But despite that, I love roleplaying.

INTERESTS: I'm a little obsessed with anything music related. I played the viola until recently and I love rhythm games (Deemo or Sayonara Wild Hearts is my favorite right now), and music anime/manga (Given is awesome!) I love mixing magic and music and all of my story ideas have some form of magic music in them. I can't help it. I also love other cultures, foreign languages (sign language is my favorite), art (pottery is my favorite medium but I love painting and exploring new mediums too), and writing. I love coming up with creative ways to mix magic with art and languages. Worldbuilding and especially figuring out new ways to play with magic is one of my favorite parts of writing. I don't read novels as much as I used to but I do read a lot of manga and webtoons and watch anime. Some of my favorite fandoms are Akatsuki no Yona, Pandora hearts, Given, ATLA, Tower of God, Danganronpa, Bungou Stray Dogs, all the cheritz games, and other visual novels. Just to name a few.

YOUKAI: Miyako is a Jorogumo that loved humans and the beautiful things they created. She wanted to be a part of their world so she used her illusions to hide as a beautiful musician so she could live among them. She always wanted to be accepted for who she really was, not the illusion she created but every time she revealed her real self, people reacted with fear and disgust. Still, Miyako buried how much their rejection hurt her and held onto the fragile hope that there was someone out there that would accept her. It became harder to hold onto that hope the more she was rejected and the last straw was when her latest lover trapped her inside a burning building and tried to kill her. She survived, though half of her face was badly burned and she hasn't said a word since. I haven't decided if her voice was damaged in the fire or if her muteness is psychological. I'm leaning towards it being her choice. That maybe she has decided that no one deserves to hear her voice or something like that. Maybe her lover always told her her voice was pretty?
After the fire Miyako became bitter. She still longs to be with humans but now she expects them to turn on her and when they do, she punishes them like the monster they always saw her as and she enjoys their suffering. Miyako doesn't remember much of her past at all. Just a vague feeling that she can't trust anyone to accept her and the resentment and bitterness that comes with it. She also still has parts of her earlier naïve love for humans but it's tainted now. She always was terrified of fire but she didn't know why. After the rains, she has a very blurry memory of a burning building.
FAVE HAUNTS: Soo Won can be found all over. He likes being around people so the Yamazaki Bar or just on the street helping people is the best place to find him. He is a regular visitor to the Medicine Woman but he tries to visit her when no one else is around.
DESIRED CR: I know it's cheating but any CR is welcome! Soo Won is very accepting of people and their different views of life. That said, even though he is an excellent listener, he doesn't elaborate on himself very much. Instead, he prefers to focus on others. He has voluntarily put his family and his kingdom above everything since he was a kid. Someone, please help this loveable martyr realize that his happiness counts too! Or you can poke holes at his already shaken determination if you want. I'd love for some negative CR as well. It's always fun to see how he interacts with more difficult characters. I'd also love to get some youkai CR with Miyako. I had a lot of fun creating her and I'm excited to see how she grows.
Specifically, though, people to help him stop the onmyouji. He hates being in the dark while the onmyouji slowly pick them off and manipulate them into position for their plans. He's a general so he knows what it's like to manipulate the field to your advantage and he doesn't appreciate being a pawn for that and he's worried about their mysterious plans.
Magic users or scholars. He has very little experience with magic and his lack of magical knowledge is a serious problem if he is going to figure out the onmyouji's plans so magical advisors would be a huge help.
Grand plans aside, I'm always interested in more friends for Soo Won. Specifically I'm interested in his friends finding out what he's hiding and helping him come to terms with some serious issues he is refusing to acknowledge about himself. (his secret has spoilers for Akatsuki no Yona), sparring partners, fellow curious people to get into fun adventures with.
OFFERED CR: Soo Won is a very friendly and curious person who loves people. He’s a great listener and an excellent strategist who likes to help people. If you have a problem, he will listen to any grievances you have and try to help out. Just don’t ask him about romance. He’s clueless about that. He is also very curious and eager to experience new things so he's easy to rope into adventures and he is very curious about magic. He tends to avoid fighting if he can help it, acting like a clueless bystander instead, but he is an excellent fighter and would be very interested in anyone that's interesting in a sparring partner. He is also investigating the many mysteries that surround this place if anyone wants an investigation partner.
Miyako is also very curious and likes meeting new people. She doesn't share the same open acceptance that Soo Won does though. She goes into a friendship knowing that they will end up hurting her. She genuinely enjoys their company, but she knows it won't last so she might as well enjoy it while she can. She has a strong passion for music and other beautiful things and tends to accept fellow artists a bit more than others.
FUTURE PLANS: Soo Won is going to be focusing on finding and stopping the onmyouji. He doesn't appreciate being used as someone else's pawn and he's worried about their plans. Soo Won has kept his theories and investigation mostly to himself up until now because he didn't have anything substantial to tie it to the onmyouji. After making them destroy the items though, the onmyouji proved that they were their enemies so general and strategist mode activated!
Since they share a common enemy, Soo Won and Miyako have formed a truce. Soo Won still doesn't completely trust her and the feeling is mutual for Miyako but the onmyouji was trying to destroy their trust with the youkai for a reason so them fighting each other only helps their enemies. Soo Won also appreciates Miyako trying to help him when he was controlled by the blood rain, even if it could have jut been her trying to protect herself.

On other hand, Kyou is a self-righteous okami who sees the black and white, and doesn't sees humans in a very favorable way because he believes all of them are corrupt creatures. It would be interesting if him and Miyako meet, seeing how she approaches that issues as well. It's intriguing!

DESIRED CR: I have nothing specific but I welcome any and all! Terribly generic answer but I'm just happy to get any interaction with him at all.
OFFERED CR: Utsume's kind of a weird one. Even his friends describe him as a psychopath. He's usually very focused about the things he gets involved with, although things have been a little more difficult between the things that have been happening in the town and his own prolonged existence with his youkai, having been here since early on. Since Utsume's Spider's kept her name a secret and Utsume's stubborn and hasn't offered her a name, he hasn't been as affected by the blood stuff as badly as others. When things start to go wrong it's himself that he gets frustrated or mad at, believing that he's failed at catching something vital that would help in a given situation. He's not good with physical things, sometimes borderline suicidal in his indifference, but he tries to help others if he's in the position to do so.
FUTURE PLANS: He's started to feel some responsibility towards those he's come to meet and get to know. Since he's not sure if they were ever meant to return from this place, he's resigned himself to whatever fate awaits him, although there is a part of him of course that remains uncertain about how much of him will still be him, if he's even him at all. He'd accepted the talisman from the Onmyouji, not to use on his youkai, but he's the sort that won't be afraid of considering using it if it might be beneficial to whatever they need to do. At this rate he's wondering that they'll find the Fire Spirit, and from what he's gleaned from Master about him since the Forest Spirit's mentioning, he's not so sure that will be pleasant.

FAVE HAUNTS: Apartments, main street, wherever the plot goes. He visits the purified shrines but not to ask for boons because I always forget about that. Since Mr. Mori is still gone he's always trading favors and scavenged finds at the 7-11 for food.
DESIRED CR: Any...thing. Maybe more people who want to bond together to really save the city as a group. I'm willing to throw almost anything at the wall and see how it sticks.
OFFERED CR: Yuya is very Team Youkai (despite getting mauled and then almost drowned, among... everything) and he doesn't trust the onmyouji not to be intent on hurting the citizens of Hakagemachi, so I guess if your character either agrees strongly or disagrees he has a lot of Opinions about it. He's very spirit-sympathetic and regards just like another kind of people.
Otherwise though he's a usually cheerful and friendly teenager. Not very bright but that doesn't stop him from sticking his nose into things. He's learned some Plot Interesting things, some of it's still ongoing but stuff about what he found at a shrine related to the onmyouji w/ Yuri and co he can share. The only thing he won't go around admitting yet is that Master was an onmyouji at one time.
Chiho meanwhile is a young kitsune who's a little rude, a little selfish, and had largely spent her life doing whatever to survive in the world. She's going to be in a particularly bad mood after almost drowning and contemplating if she should take over more often.
FUTURE PLANS: Nothing specific! I'm rolling along with things as they go.

I met Yuya in another game and I love him. Soo Won is a bit spirit-sympathetic. He doesn't like how they were forced into this situation but he doesn't agree with the onmyouji that the youkai should be destroyed. The fact that the onmyouji have killed many mask bearers in their pursuit of their goal has made him dislike them even more and he's actively trying to stop them so he could team up with Yuya for some onmyouji investigating if that interests you. He is currently trying to keep an eye one anyone that took a talisman from the onmyouji and hoping that no one has used theirs yet.
I'm always interested in more youkai cr with Miyako and Chiho sounds fun.
