The guard unit was founded by Sima Shi in June 2012, passed down to Zhong Hui in August 2012 and further into the hands of Akira in October 2012 with their subsequent leaving of Zodion. It was created to protect the weak above all else, not to rule, judge, or discriminate anyone, and is entirely run by volunteers. Whoever has skills they think will benefit the guard unit and want to help are welcomed to join.
In December 2012, Zhong Hui returned with memories in tact, and ushered along the final development stages. As of current, Zhong Hui is the public leader in command with Akira shadowing.
Any other positions of authority that may be subsequently established in some form will be listed if needed.
Duties on the guard unit would include but are not limited to: regular patrols (2 in a group normally, but it's really up to the players), responding to domestic disputes, checking in on rowdy establishments regularly, protecting others physically from others as well as whatever the Twelve may bring, ensuring the safety and stability of whoever may need assistance, etc. etc. etc.
The Guard Unit also umbrellas an Emergency Response Team, which will immediately respond to any distress calls (that can be made via a speed dial function on the devices). These include but are not limited to accidents, natural disasters, severe sickness, crimes—basically anything a person would dial 911 for. If necessary, the situation will be passed on to the rest of the Unit. The ERT is headed by Subaru Nakajima, and those interested should speak with her. Particularly sought after professions or skills are of the following (but like the rest of the unit is open to anyone who wants to assist regardless of abilities and/or experience):
★ Healers; alchemical or magical
★ Doctors, Medics, and EMTs
★ Search-and-rescue personnel
★ Public Service Officials (firefighters, police, etc.)
★ Elementalists (defensive measures)
The only thing that Akira asks is that anyone who joins to understand one important thing:
You are not doing this to better yourself, you are doing it to better others.
If your character would be interested in volunteering for the guard unit, they need only speak with one of the existing members (preferably one of the leaders). This can be entirely handwaived if you'd prefer, as well as speaking to Subaru concerning the ERT! Just please reply to this entry with the form below so I can keep track of everyone on the list.
Characters will also receive a badge that identifies them as a unit member (ooc design image will come asap).

STRENGTHS & PREFERENCES: Back home, I was formerly known as the King of Heroes, which is a recognition I received after apprehending criminals and protecting the citizens of Sternbild as a hero. My ability grants me power over the wind, which I can use to create small tornadoes, cut large objects, carry myself into the sky, and lift other people off the ground. It seems that here, I am not able to fly very high up, but I am very fast and can take many hits. I look forward to working with a team for the good of the citizens in Zodion! I have no preference except maybe someone other than Subaru, since he knows her. I want Sky High to be better acquainted with the people he works with, and if Akira is in a position of power, he might even be able to meet Keith as himself beneath the hero suit. Really, it's whatever you prefer. Keith is using to having a lot of hero friends, and right now, the Guard Unit is the closest he's coming to that.

It spans different planets, different dimensions, and... a lot that the multiverse can throw at somebody. He is also a superb leader, but can take leadership without much trouble, too. The teams he is on have a very good reputation, because his people skills are near-legendary in his own canon. Also apprentice of the world's greatest detective (though he would admit to Tim probably being or shortly going to be better), fighting skills, acrobatic skills, first aid, strategy, tactics... he was the sole protector of a city for years, so, yes, he can handle a lot on his own, too.
