So [personal profile] serpentinemalign inspired me to look into actually trying out a static site generator cause I've been interested for a while but never really had time to get around to it. I decided to also try out Astro, and so far I can get the tutorial to work and deploy to git! Woohoo!!! But the thing that I've been stuck on is getting it to deploy to Neocities 「(ーヘー;)... I tried using the YML I found here, but it doesn't seem like it's working. I will have to see if I can get this figured out, but I am hopeful that I can get it sorted to make hosting all of my fics on my own site a less time consuming process. Fingers crossed!

I should give this a try! If I have enough spoons over the weekend I'll try learning astro for this. Because it would sure help a lot in making things more efficient. Both in just making new pages for my fics, and making more pages on my site in general.

Thanks so much!! It really looks to be a fun challenge, with a nice payoff once I get the hang of it!

I made a tutorial on how to use the git-neocities thing a little while ago!

IDK if it'd help you at your stage, but maybe it'll reveal which step in the process you're stuck in?

Good luck with the SSG stuff! I always hear how good it is when people manage to get it to work.
