Dear Yuletide Author,

I'm very excited that we matched on one of my fandoms! I love these all very much an am eager to read whatever you come up with some general guidance on writing a fic for me, and more details for each fandom are below.


DNWs:

• Noncon,
• member of a requested pairing shipped with someone else,
• break up of any requested pairing/listed OTP,
• lack of control of body/actions (non-consensual possession, hypnosis, mind control, programing, etc),
• humiliation whether verbal or situational (whether in a porn or non-porn context),
• age-regression/de-aging, ageplay,
• epistolary, texting fic,
• high school/college AUs,
• 1st person POV,
• omegaverse fic
• infidelity,
• slurs,
• derogatory language used in sexual situations,
• unrequested changes to a canon character's gender/race,
• miscommunication as a driver of plot,
• permanent major character death (unless it’s canon).

Things I like in general if none of my notes below are useful:

• Competency,
• Enthusiastic consent.
• Falling-for-the-DJ/person-on-the-radio AUs,
• Fake dating,
• Xeno/xenophilia/xenobiology.

For all of the fandoms I’m requesting this year I’m fine with porn for my ship if that’s what you want to write. 

괴물 | Beyond Evil (TV)  

What it is and what I like about it: Korean drama available on Netflix. I like how grounded this show is in detail and emotion, the setting and characters are all incredibly nuanced and I love the found-family of the butcher shop and the tight knit community woven together through experience and trauma, but also how they’re willing and ready to accept Han Juwon in as one of them. The sort of cat and mouse game Han Juwon and Lee Dongsik have going with each other is great, but I also love when they come to depend on each other more an work together towards revealing the Truth. The handling of grief and what individual and communal grief can do to a place or person is also great. 

My OTP: Han Juwon/Lee Dongsik

What I’d like in a fic: I’d prefer something post-canon, I’m happy for or character study/exploration for either Lee Dongsik or Han Juwon in the wake of the events of the show. I obviously ship those two so if you want to write me something for them in a relationship/getting together I’d be delighted. If you want to lean in on their angst and issues go for it, as long as it has a happy ending I think there’s a lot of space to explore self-esteem issues and feelings of inadequacy and guilt given everything they’ve done / done to each other over the course of the show. The one exception to post-canon preference is if you want to write me something a close-ish to canon but everybody lives AU I’d be into that. I’d prefer no AUs that are outside of canon (e.g. please keep them in their setting/context in general). Prefer porn with a little bit of character development/plot to get them there. 

Some general ideas/prompts:

• case/mystery fic of some kind
• post-canon Han Juwon/Lee Dongsik get-together fic (does one of them woo the other?, aside from the team lunch how to they get back in touch?) 
• Everybody lives AU of canon
• Character study of Han Juwon post-canon (how is he coping/not coping, how does he get better?) At the lunch at the end of the show Han Juwon is wearing sneakers which I absolutely love as a character detail, if you want to write Han Juwon coming to that place of purpose and comfort in the world/with himself, and include extending that into reconnecting with Manyang more permanently (and Lee Dongsik too if you want to make that into a ship fic) would be neat.

더 킹：영원의 군주 | The King: Eternal Monarch (TV)

What it is and what I like about it: Korean drama available on Netflix with parallel universes and time travel. A very pretty series visually both cinematography and cast, delightful characters.

My OTP: Jo Yeong/Lee Gon

What I’d like in a fic: I love Jo Yeong so I would really love fic with him as a focal character. I love his competency and I love his devotion to Lee Gon. I ship Jo Yeong/Lee Gon very much so anything you want to write me for them would be amazing. Or if you want to have it be Jo Yeong -> Lee Gon pining feels I am also here for that. Tae-eul is lovely so if you’re setting post-canon for a Jo Yeong/Lee Gon fic please no character-assassination/character bashing in breaking up her and Lee Gon (honestly there are a lot of reasons why that relationship might not work out even if Lee Gon and Tae-eul do love each other and are good in a relationship together). 

Some general ideas/prompts:

• Fic set in a spinoff timeline where Lee Gon grows up remembering Jo Yeong protecting him instead having Tae-eul’s card so he’s not seeking Tae-eul but someone else and things go differently.
• Post canon fic of Jo Yeong and Lee Gon growing into a romantic relationship sometime after Tae-eul and Lee Gon have broken up.
• Fake dating could be a fun AU in this fandom.
• Universe hopping and seeing various versions of them in different kinds of relationships/connections and that inspiring introspection and changing their own relationship into something romantic.
• Jo Yeong being the one to go places/times with the flute for whatever reason.

More time travel always welcome. 

악마판사 | The Devil Judge (TV)  

What it is and what I like about it: Korean drama available on Viki. This show is beautifully shot and grandiose in its story, tropes, and dystopia. I enjoyed the characters and the sweeping scope of the dramatics.

My OTP: Kim Gaon/Kang Yohan

What I’d like in a fic: I’m here for ship fic for this pairing. I’d like fic generally set in the canon setting but don’t need it to be super close to canon. Please don’t lean into the incest/you look like my older brother angle, I’m just kinda ignoring that in the broad strokes. 

Some general ideas/prompts:

• A Beauty and the Beast AU within(ish) the canon setting (Kim Gaon as Beauty, Kang Yohan as Beat, Elijah and Mrs. Ji can come too in however you want to have them)
• Or slightly different from the above but on the same wavelength a Gothic Romance with Kim Gaon as the ingenue coming to the Kang mansion.
• There’s also some Sound of Music/Secret Garden type vibes to Kim Gaon bringing laughter/happiness back into the Kang mansion so if you want to go a more sweet love story version there that’d be cool.
• This source has great opportunity for sugardaddy fic so if that’s more your vibe go for it (whether that’s an actual contract or Kang Yohan just escalating/continuing after the suit incident)

시카고 타자기 | Chicago Typewriter (TV)  

What it is and what I like about it: Korean drama, sadly not currently available that I know of. Reincarnation and ghost story with 1930s Korean freedom fighters and a present selves + ghost working to remember their pasts with one of them as an author writing the story of their past lives. 

My OTP: Han Seju/Jeon Seol/Yu Jinoh

What I’d like in a fic: I love my OT3 so anything you want to do for them would be great. I’d prefer modern time period setting through with recollection/flashback to the 1930s is fine but I’d prefer the characters/focus be in the present incarnation. I ship this as a closed triangle with all the points equally into all the others romantically/sexually speaking.

Some general ideas/prompts:

• Something set during the canon timeline with them all being happy and negotiating being in a triad, potentially including ghost sex (whatever that looks like) - idk can you solve flickering/going away by giving someone energy through sex is that a fixit? 
• Getting sent into a romance novel somehow allows you to die naturally within the novel and be reincarnated in reality and now it’s a time loop sorta but only Yu Jinoh remembers because he’s the one who got sent into the book and now he has to find Han Seju and Jeon Seol again in the present so they can all be together
• Dealing with remembering past physical intimacy and romance while you’re getting to know that person again in the present and not sure if the other person remembers that shared past life or you
• OT3 with agreed-upon possession
• Jeon Seol ships it and refuses to date either of them until they get their shit together. 
• The trio seeing what fanfiction is written about their novel. (Does Jeon Seol write any herself, she is canonically a fic author…or since she had a hand in the creation of the book does she just read a lot?)
