How to complete online Windows 11 OOBE with a non-Outlook e-mail address?
Context/Rationale
I've recently installed the Windows 11 Enterprise 25H2 Insider Preview Canary .ISO. [1] During its OOBE (its initial configuration process), I was asked to authenticate with my Microsoft credentials. When I entered my e-mail address, whose domain isn't 1st-party @Outlook (or equivalent live.com), [2] I was informed that the account doesn't exist. [3]
Conducted Diagnosis
By utilising the “Join Domain” option to bypass this, [6] I was able to retroactively authenticate via immersivecontrolpanel. Consequently, I err on this being an incomprehensibly ridiculous bug with the OOBE GUI. However, because it's so incomprehensibly ridiculous that Microsoft QA wouldn't notice this during development, I want to confirm whether an alternative initial authentication method exists.
