Despite my burnout, this has been my most productive ficathon yet... 36 total fills! I even maxed out the 75 tag limit, whoops. XD Notable fandoms include LISA and Deltarune, and me crying about Moon: Remix RPG Adventure. Nanquest popped up a fair bit at the final stretch too. It's also my 100th upload to AO3! Figured that'd be worth celebrating. :D

I have exchange fic to work on, some other stuff that has a deadline too, yet right now i feel like nothing is working. I can play games kinda, but that's about it. Just doing things feels like a chore, even if i like it.
I don't like coming on here to just complain and nothing else, but idk what to do at this point. Maybe rambling about other things could help lift up the mood at least a little bit.

halfway through femslash february and i'm staying silly
Feb. 18th, 2026 08:52 pmtoothpastepancakeHEY dw. Trying to post on here more, especially since the state of my fandoms on other social medias are really stressful. I check dreamwidth multiple times a day but I don't.... Post... so I'm trying to change that.
Doing a lot better than my last post. Honestly I didn't realize how depressing and overshare-y it was until I reread it, and I think that says a lot about how much I dissociate lmao. Anyway, shit has been hard but I'm slowly putting myself back together, I guess. Life has been slightly more bearable. Valentine's day was wonderful. The weather is starting to warm up a bit, so I've been writing in my yard each day, and I've really missed having the ability to go outside.
I've been working a lot on my femslash february salad bar fics. I've gotten four done so far, 3 regular mode and 1 hard mode. I chose the exact word counts for hard mode as a self-challenge but I think it just ended up being more intimidating, whoops. I'm still enjoying the event immensely!! Yayyyy!!!!! I hope to work on some of my other stuff soon, like10trueloves and my 100femslash table (which I'm so happy to see taking off!!!)
I did end up signing up for Space Swap and I plan to do High Adrenaline too because I love it so much.

I've only just now started to get back into working on web development stuff. I have some fun Otwarchive stuff planned to work on when I get a development instance set up again...

AKC Courtneyyyyyy Culture Festival #210: Kohara Haruka
Feb. 18th, 2026 07:11 amsonofgodzillaAlongside Noro Kayo, Ohori Megumi, and Sato Yukari, Kohara Haruka was one of the early AKB48 members moved over to SDN48 on 22nd September 2009, joining former SKE48 member, Ichihara Yuri in the two months before she up and quit, presumably over the move, and a host of other older members who later went on to become SDN's first generation.
Originally auditioning for AKB in 2007, she passed and quickly became a member of the kenkyuusei, appearing on their recording of Oogoe Diamond as well as appearing on the recording of Shonichi that appeared on Namida Surprise!, having been transferred into Team B in early 2009.
2009 must have been a tumultuous year for Haruchan. Originally promoted in Team B in January, she was then moved into Team K in August during the team shuffle event, however, before she could even debut with her new team, it was announced she was one of the members comprising SDN in September. I'm not often critical of decisions made during early AKB because I mostly have nostalgia goggles on, but this passing around of older members like they were a hot potato, and, indeed, the final fate of SDN remains a real sticking point for me.
Regardless of Haruchan's inability to rank during the first five senbatsu elections, two of which she did not participate in, when it came to the smaller circle of SDN members, she came in ninth place and, as a result is present in the lineups for all of the group's releases, from GAGAGA, to Ai, Chuseyo, to MIN・MIN・MIN, to Kudokinagara Azabu Juuban duet, a duet with presenter and television personality, Mino Monta, for which she appeared as Wcentre with Yukarin, and, at last, Makeoshimi Congratulation.
It feels frustrating even now that Haruchan and other members of SDN did not get more recognition. It's not as if she did anything wrong, in early AKB, she appeared during the second stage performances by Himawari-gumi, the multi-team lineups that included many of the Kami 7, she put in shifts in the AKB48 Café & Shop, and she took every transfer to every new team like it was a chance to really show what she was made. AKS let Kohara Haruka down, just as they let all of SDN48 down.
Following her graduation, Haruchan went on to work in gravure before joining a number of former SDN members—Kazue Akita, Okochi Misa, and formerly Kimoto Yuki, Fukuda Akane, and Fujikoso Yumi—as the idol group R, whose releases are really hard for me to find, but whose singles I would love to have copies of. Look at how awesome they all seem in their promo photos!
In 2021, Haruchan got married and gave birth to her first child. She's still a member of R, and whilst the group doesn't seem to be doing much as of 2022, I really, really hope we get to see more of them again any year now!

Alas, I don't have a copy of Death Stranding to fool their systems with, and I sure as hell am not forking over my ID to the government. So far, I signed up for Stoat, but I don't know which service is going to be the Next Big Thing yet. Remember when people signed up for Pillowfort and that ended up dead in the water? Yeeeeeeah. I hope this next migration will be more creative friendly, I have zero places to be motivated for building graphics and fanmixes. Sure, there's always Dreamwidth, but it's pretty quiet here, which sadly, nothing much I can do about. :(
Since I've been burnt out during the winter season, Three Sentence Ficathon has been a major help. I ended up having a lot of Moon RPG feelings so quite a number of fills are based on that game. ;; Then I took a break to do EAD Birthday Bash 2026, which was a lot of fun since I got to do silly paper plate art with markers. Everybody should read my Mouthwashing My Immortal masterpiece, buwahahahaha. It has to be the most fun I've had writing fic in a long time. XD With Birthday Bash over, I can catch up on 3SF and post all my fills. Sometimes even writing a single sentence is like pulling teeth, so if I actually manage to finish a prompt, it means a lot.
Animal Crossing 3.0 finally lets you store flowers and trees, which has been a major contributing factor to my burnout and inability to finish my island. And there's now slumber islands, so I can play with all the ideas I have bouncing around in my head without having to reset and do *everything* all over again. I can even build with friends! I just... have to find them, whoops. Gods I'm so lonely. ;; I learned how to find treasure islands so I'm basically catching up on everything and cataloging as many items as possible for building on dream islands. My museum is finally finished after forever. :P
Everyone has been shredding the latest Wuthering Heights movie, and dang, it looks as awful as it sounds. It's shitty enough that it makes me want to give the book another chance (and partly because some of Heathcliff's lines remind me of Buzzo being haunted by Lisa), but oof. The original book still employs one of my most Hated Tropes of All Time (The Misunderstanding, aka Person A conveniently hears just enough to believe the Person B hates them, and leaves right before Person B clarifies what they actually mean. I fucking despise it in Shrek, and I despise it everywhere else) And I don't know... a hated trope is like a turd in a otherwise fine bowl of cereal, you know? Once you know it's there, the turd overwhelms everything. D:
