The NK and I are playing Rift right now and it's fine, very lovely to look at and all, but I'm so excited about Guild Wars 2 that most other games just pale in comparison, eagerness-wise.

Perhaps when it comes out I can generate some sort of ficcy fandom around that. I hear there will be possibilities to have NPCs fall in love with you, though how egalitarian these options will be remains to be seen. I'm skeptical that ANet will take the open and affirming stance, but given that Regina Buenaobra is GW2's Community Manager and does a lot of feminist/anti-racist commentary, I'm... somewhat hopeful?
