Okay, now, for the record, I have never had any interest in seeing the new King Kong. I have never seen any previous adaptation, either. I'm just not interested; it's not my "thing." But you know, power to itty-bitty thin Peter Jackson and his amazing special effects and all that.

So the other day, while waiting for... um, some movie? to start, the King Kong trailer plays, and as we watch the scenes on the island, I turn to my friend maria_kazuar and say, "wow... look at all those... painted savages.... yay?" And she nodded and said something quippy in return, and we laughed. And that about sums up the amount of time I've spent thinking about it. But ABB's rant is funny! So there you have it.
