Well, [livejournal.com profile] vandonovan and I have just finished up a night of playing Katamari Damacy while listening to the audio commentaries of Tomb of the Cybermen and The Mind Robbers as background music (we are truly multi-taskers). It was quite enlightening to hear Frazer Hines talk in his own accent, and the many observations and comments he made were right up our alley (often he'd say something or ask some plot-related question seconds after [livejournal.com profile] vandonovan had said the exact same thing. They are clearly MFEO).

Following that, we watched a 22-minute documentary on Frazer Hines' career as Jamie McCrimmon, which may have been the best little piece of Doctor Who media I've seen yet, barring all the Two/Jamie clingage. Now, I don't follow the Who actors' careers, and I didn't know much about Patrick and Frazers' professional or personal friendship.

So when I tell you that Frazer said, over the course of the 22-minute spotlight, things such as, "we ran into each other's arms and fell to the floor, hugging and kissing," or talks about how if their agents hadn't insisted, the only other way to get him and Patrick to leave the show (and each other) would be to shoot them, or constantly and consistently refers to himself and Patrick as "we" as in "we saw Wendy Padbury and really wanted her" or "we were such a team" or "we'd been shagging each other for quite some time by then" -- okay, not that last one, but -- well, I want you to understand my full meaning.

That full meaning is that PATRICK AND FRAZER WERE IN LOVE, THE END. I don't care if they weren't actually having gay sex. I am going to put my tinhat on fully for this one - Van and I were sitting there with our mouths hanging open for most of the feature, sort of pinching ourselves and saying, "did he just say that? Are we really watching that? Did we just see that?"

My squee may seem a little subdued, and my crazy may be showing, but that's only because I'm tired. If I didn't already want to write Pat/Frazer RPS, this would have kick-started me into writing the Glowing Epic of How Patrick and Frazer Fell In Love FOREVER.

Okay, time for sleep.

Hahaha yeah, I thought that was pretty awesome (and a Regina shoutout in the article!). I want to download that show as it's released now, but Canadian (read: prairie-region) shows are really really really hard to find on the interwebs :(. See also: Corner Gas, Moccasin Flats. Oh well, the idea's a great one! I wonder if such an idea would even MAKE it to tv here in the US. :/
