A movie about the ten Iranian Baha'i women - the youngest of whom was 17 years old - who were hung in 1983 is going to be made this year. They were arrested and executed for being Baha'is and teaching Baha'i children's classes, because the practice of their religion is illegal in Iran. IS, not was :(.

That's what I think when listening to some hard-core Islamist woman going on air or reading an article in which they defend--on "feminist" grounds!--the shari'ah as it pertains to women. Because, you know, "true feminism" involves knowing your "proper" place in society, as ordained by Allah and the male members of society, well covered up and under the "guardianship" of your father/brothers/husband/sons. I'm sure you can think up your own examples... :-P
