Yeah, that's what I'm reffering to. That apparently a large enough selection of Popslashers found enjoyment in SGA fandom to create enough crackfic in the fandom that it's a recognizable subset, or something.
Or it might just have to do with the canon being unsatisfying and the characters fun, so putting them in AUs is more enjoyable. I dunno.
Yeah, well, I guess that's more a feature of people (like whomever submitted the panel) crediting crack!fic to popslashers in general. The exact same conversations were had about Lotrips back in the day - which also had a lot of popslashers. So it's not just SGA :).
oh damn! I didn't even look at the ballot, cause I knew it would just make me sad I couldn't attend. and now this has me all verklempt cause that's the Panel of my Heart, right there.
