[Transcript Part 1: Introducing Rupato Gurinto!]
[David-o Heyman-san! is introduced. He speaks in a very translator-friendly way... with lots of pauses... at comfortable intervals... in his speech.]
David-o: [is boring] Thank you all for being here.... [translator translates] The Japanese fans are very important to us and have been so supportive to us through these three films.... Many thanks for your loyalty, your support, and your generosity.... I came here [now at this point, Rupert waves to the fans over David's shoulder. The crowd SCREAMS and there is CHAOS. David glances over his shoulder (in a boring way) to see what's happened, and Rupert and Alfonso share a "tee-hee! caught in the act!" laugh. David offers Rupert the mic. Rupert gives the universal sign-language for "nooooo!" Alfonso and Rupert laugh more: they have bonded over being more interesting than David-o Heyman-san.]

[David picks up from where he was so rudely interrupted] I came here last year with Daniel.... and it is great to be back here with Rupert and Alfonso.... Thank you very much.
[It's Alfonso Cuaron! And the only one whose name they pronounce accurately!]
Alfonso: Konnichiwa! [he waves exhuberantly!] Thank you so much, this is awesome, this is just-- a great thing.... [translator translates] I would like to try something..... I'm going to take a photo of you guys, and on the count of three, you take a photo here so the flash-- I take the photo so the flashes [here he starts gesturing very broadly, and I can't make out what he says. The translator translates, and starts interchanging Japanese numbers for English numbers. Alfonso explains that "En Espanol," it's "uno, dos, tres." She stands corrected.]

Alfonso: Uno... Dos... TRES! [Alfonso gives the countdown, takes the picture, and there is a BLINDING, seizure-causing series of flashes as everybody takes their pictures at once. Everybody laughs in shock and amazement; Rupert and Alfonso laugh and laugh and is this a slash pairing? Strike that. The moderator yells "SUGOI!" in her glee] Alfonso: Arigatou! [bows -- most exhuberantly!]
[Time for Rupato again! Please, keep your vocabulary under twenty words or less.]
Moderator: Can you tell us what was most enjoyable during the shooting of this film?
Rupato: Um, uh, yeah, filming is really good fun, we had a good time... uh, we'd go on location, which was really good [he nods, in that way he has of nodding when he says things are "really" anything]-- we went to Scotland and we played a bit of golf, so that was cool...
[is pretty while the translator translates]

Moderator: You play golf? You're a golfer?
Rupato: [smiles. Aww.] Uhm, yeah! [mumblemumblemumble -- wtf?]
Moderator: What is your handicap?
Rupato: [He laughs] Um, I don't have one, 'cause I'm-- I'm not really that good yet, so...
Moderator: So, what was difficult during the shooting?
Rupato: Uhm, I dunno, it was-- it was pretty much, um, pretty much straightforward. You have to get up quite early sometimes, which was a bit hard, and school as well-- [into the mic] we had to do school as well [A bit of explanation: Rupert has a tendency to direct his answers to the moderator by default and the mic more by accident, so here I don't know if he realized just then that he's hard to hear, but he repeated himself, actually into the mic this time], but... it was good fun.
Moderator: And could you share with us some episodes with you, Emma and Daniel during the shooting?
Rupato: [he smiles] Um, yeah, we-- we had a really good time when we were filming, yeah, um, I dunno, me and Dan [here he gives a "'sup?" nod to someone in the audience and waves a little, then hugs himself -- Heee] once made a... crazy golf course, we actually built a huge course out of stuff we found, so that was cool.

Moderator: Since this is your first visit here to Japan, what is your impression of Japan?
Rupato: Um, [laughs] yeah, it's really cool, [something something, something -- OMG. Enunciate and project, child.]
[the fans giggle amongst themselves, won over by Rupert's... charm? inability to speak audibly? tendency to hug himself and thereby show off his sexy hands? No, it's because Alfonso is trying to get David-o to start a two-person wave behind him.]
Moderator: And how are your Japanese fans?
Rupert: [grins huge, and is generally adorable and winning, etc., etc.] Yeah, they're wicked, yeah! Really cool.

[Alfonso is then called up for Q&A, and I miss everything he says because Rupert takes this opportunity to start playing with his hair. He smooths down his bangs -- or attempts to hide behind them, who knows -- and rubs the back of his neck, and I concentrate very hard on wanting to be his hand, and is Alfonso still talking? I didn't notice.]

Moderator: So, lastly, these people are very lucky because they got into the theater on the first day of the release. But there are many, many fans out there who are at home, maybe watching the television-- with these television cameras-- so could you, Rupert [Alfonso looks at Rupert and Rupert breaks into a "oh, shit, what now?" grin. He's SO thinking "aw, I just got my hands all comfortable in my pockets and everything!"], to end this greeting, say something to the fans [Rupert mouths/says, "oh," and nods] watching television? To all the fans of Japan?

[Rupert meanders his way verrrry slowwwwly up to the mic, making various "hoo boy" faces, while Alfonso gestures to the mic and gives Rupert an encouraging... er... shove. The moderator says something about "...together?" and so Alfonso and David come up and sort of sandwich Rupert, standing on either side of him in front of the mic, which is really awfully sweet. Also, Rupert doesn't stop looking at either of them.]
Moderator: Okay, Rupert? [Alfonso does more mic gesturing and gives Rupert another nudge]
Rupert: Um, yeah, uh, thanks for, uh, uh... hope you enjoy the film, it should be really cool, um, and hopefully you'll, uh... [mumble, mumblemumble]
[Then -- oh God-- he NODS, like, to drive this non-point home, while I laugh and laugh at his pain, and fantasize about feeding him cookies and milk. Then he tosses his hair self-consciously, which is sexy and pushes all thoughts of cookies from my mind.
Alfonso takes another picture simultaneously with the crowd, and everybody leaves. Or, Alfonso and David leave the stage, while Rupert makes the mistake of accepting ONE gift from ONE fan. This causes a chain reaction of fans rushing the stage with gifts, and Rupert very graciously shakes every single hand and takes every single gift...]

[...until he's reduced to shoving things under his armpits and looking like he wishes he had extra hands. The moderator at this point is saying "THANK YOU!!!" very pointedly in Japanese to the crowd, and trying to usher him off the stage. He starts dropping things, and smiles apologetically when he does. I go back to my cookie fantasy, where I remain for the rest of the night.
And that's it!]
I'm sorry to have subjected you all to that.

He's just such a sweet, hot boy. Less talk, more action. I can handle that! LOL.
