Well, I ran in place to Xena again tonight. This episode was really quite good (not that the show isn't always enjoyable at least, but this one was very high quality, I thought).

But I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. Despite the seemingly nearly inexhaustible supply of Xena episodes, and the thought of being in better cardiovascular shape in the future, running in place REALLY SUCKS. :/ And yet it's the only thing I can think of to do that's the least time-consuming and most convenient to me (I can wear whatever I want, I can do it at any time of the day or night, and I don't have to go anywhere to do it). So, running in place it is. Sigh!

You need one of those stationary bikes . . . (Because they are totally free and easy to afford. Totally.)

Hahaha yes. Also, when I lived with my parents I used to try riding on the stationary, and ... it hurts in the seat area! I could never keep it up for more than a couple of tries.

Hmmm. I always liked biking. The only way I've ever lost significant weight was bike riding. XD

BTW, the DBZ episodes I downloaded . . . are dubs. So I've found a torrent with subs and am trying to redownload them.

Yeah, and since I hated riding my bike, too, it sort of stands to reason :D.

OMG NO NOT DUBS! ;_;

Yeah. Shitacular dubs! Ugh. I've deleted them all though, and now am downloading a torrent that claims to have them subbed. Here's hoping. X_x;;; If that doesn't work though, I dug up my VHS tapes. Hahahahha. The first few episodes are pretty decent quality, at least.

Poor bike. I don't particularly ENJOY riding a bike, but it served it's purpose (to get me somewhere faster than walking would--a 15min bike ride vs. an hour walk meant I got to sleep 45 mins longer in the mornings, for instance.)

*fingers crossed for subbed yayness*

Sadly, I'm too scared of traffic/falling off things (another phobia!), so I pretty much would rather sit on a bus for an hour than ride a bike anywhere ;_;.

Well, when in Japan I had no choice. It was either walk or bike. And . . . yes, I was scared of being hit by a car or falling off, etc., but those extra 45 mins of sleep made all the difference, hahahahaha. When I think about some of the narrow, narrow streets I rode up, I gawk in awe and my craziness. X_x;;;

Anyway. It's telling me it's 1.8 days left for the first five episodes, so we'll see. If it isn't done, we'll do it next week or something. My parents want to go see Shrek 3 tomorrow night, and I really want to see it. So . . . I might end up showing you Shrek 2 tomorrow, just beacuse I recall you hadn't seen it. X_x and you just messaged me, hahaha.

Well, power to you for riding, is all I can say! I might actually choose not going to Japan over having to ride a bike, hahaha.

I'd be up for Shrek 2... I just read a review of Shrek 3, so it was actually on my mind today!

Jumping rope is also stationary and is healthier for you all-around (lower impact when done correctly). And because of the arm movements and stuff, it burns mass calories, etc. If you can do it for an hour, you can burn like 1000 calories! And all the bonuses you mentioned for running? Also apply to jumping rope!

Good point! I don't have a rope, though, but I can, uh.... fake it!

how about getting a step. i used to do that when i'd record melrose place back in the 90s and step while i watched it.

i bet you could even find one for free if you contact some freecyclers. http://www.freecycle.org/

Hmmm, a step machine's an idea. I really would have to be able to get it for free, though. Hahaha. Thanks!
