Randomly I started looking up clips of The Party on YouTube. And I opened such a can of worms, hahaha.
I mean, okay, first of all [I Found Love] comes up, and I'm like, oh, good times, and then I remember how Tiffini couldn't sing, but the song was cute anyway. [And the time they performed it on New MMC!]
Then, [this totally random] montage of Aeon Flux clips to The Party's "In My Dreams" which was one of my favorites of theirs, and I'm a little pissed that I can't find the actual video now. Because DeeDee in a gold hotpants set was HOT.
[Sugar Is Sweet], one of the rare numbers in which DeeDee and Albert serenade each other and there is a minimum of Tiffini. (okay, so I wasn't fond of Tiffini.)
I refuse to link to any incarnations of Summer Vacation, however, as that song was shit. I don't care how cute Chase was. :P
So then, you know, like, RANDOMLY, I start coming across OLD OLD school New MMC clips. First there's one from JC's days that I actually didn't remember seeing (considering I was a fan at the time). But then we come up on stuff from Season 1. And suddenly I'm watching [this Chipmunk-voice-level video] of all of the members of The Party at 13, and the younger cast at 11 (oh, Lindsey! You were the WEE-EST ONE OF ALL!). AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Then there's the all-rap version of Dancing in the Street that kind of gives me nightmares, with Hammer-pants abounding. OH GOD.
[Ilana singing Because of Love] breaks my brain because when I was watching the show SHE WAS ELEVEN. I demand that time stay still and not subject me to the shock of seeing her all grown up like this (not to mention the thought that she's like 27 now, ahahaha sob). Also, holy improved production values, New MMC!
[JC singing Runaway Train] with complementary emo Marc and Dale looking on.
I could be here for hours. This is the life of Em, aged 11 through 15. I'm a little sad that there isn't even more. Hahaha. More Party stuff, more middle-era stuff, more cute early-era stuff. Gosh, I have TAPES full of this material. *pines*

Date: 2007-06-07 05:01 pm (UTC)I remember I used to want Chase and DeeDee to hook up so badly. Hahaha, they were adorable together and the songs they did together were always among my favorites. I still think The Party were robbed that they didn't become more famous.
