randominityThe saddest damn thing about my whole (what is shaping up to be) shitty week is that the only thing that gets me remotely out of my funk is House.
Yeah. You read that right. HOUSE. Which, if anything could indicate more that I am in need of therapy, I can't think of a better one.
I am up to episode five now, and chomping at the bit to see more. I am quite disappointed with the lack of hatred I have for House (I personally blame the fact that Hugh Laurie has dimples. Nobody mentioned this to me, and I am glad they didn't, because apparently I would marry Satan himself if he was like "hey 'sup," and flashed dimples at me) and I am still upset that I had no idea that Chase was pretty and Australian! I must have the wrongest friendslist in the world, because I haven't seen so much as a single Chase icon (or, if I have, I uh, didn't know it was him). Though I think I should be glad, because if everyone had always been going on and on about Chase's prettiness, and therefore slashing him with everybody because HEY PRETTY, I would have already had to hate him. This way I can actually judge him on his own merits! So this has worked out in all of our favors, in the end.
Also, I didn't realize that House and Wilson were married since before the show even started.
Uh, so, yeah. I have to download House faster so I can watch more of it. Also because I have nobody to talk about it with because I am not caught up! I can't even just read the TWOP forums because I guess they started covering House well into its run, so everybody had already been watching the show for some time before they were talking about it and I'm like EGADS, SPOILERS MUCH?

Date: 2007-06-19 08:59 pm (UTC)S1 is generally quite good, and so is S2. There's a brief arc late in S1 with a villain about whom I'm not crazy, but it offers opportunities for some yummy H/W stuff so I'm pretty much over it.
I also really liked S3 -- although I quavered a little at one point in the season (a lot of people were really annoyed with how the season was unfolding, and I wasn't sure whether I would follow them into full-blown frustration), it redeemed itself in my eyes, and now I am all happy for S4 again.

I caught some natterings of displeasure around my flist about House, but didn't pay much attention to when it was going on because I wasn't watching and wasn't interested in watching. So I'll have to be aware of any dissatisfaction that pops up as I continue to watch.

Date: 2007-06-19 10:36 pm (UTC)Oh! Have you seen "Damned If You Do" yet? That's the Christmas episode from first season -- the one with lots of Chase, and the nuns. The end of that episode is one of the slashiest things I've ever seen. It reeled me right in. :-)

Did Wilson seriously, obviously, give up Christmukkah dinner with his WIFE to go on a romantic DINNER-DATE WITH HOUSE?" It was very o_O.
