Back to Guild Wars! :D
Last night I created A NEW ELEMENTALIST based on the face/hair combo I was thinking about using earlier, and got her through to post-searing. And then I bought her a run to Yak's Bend! Which is a helluva commitment, so I suppose I'm stuck with her :P. I also made a new Mesmer and deleted my Warrior because I still have no clue what to do with her. What I realize I'm doing with these characters is creating clothes horses. Like, the characters I have existing are all wearing armors I selected for them (except in cases where I haven't earned enough cash to buy the armor I really want for them). I don't want to buy more sets of armor, even though I may like them, because the armors don't fit the "character" of my characters. So with these new characters I'm trying to be more versatile so that I will feel okay pursuing, say, GW:EN armors for them as well as other existing armors. So my Mesmer and Ele will both be good for that, I hope.
I'm hindered by the fact that there are character faces I really like! Like the scarred Warrior in Nightfall, or there's a great face I really like on one of the Nightfall Eles. And I'm like, dammit, I don't need MORE of you! *sobs*
Um. Anyway.

Date: 2007-08-03 08:16 pm (UTC)This is also why I've had trouble with Rangers/Warriors - because there isn't an armor that captures my attention so strongly for Rangers, and aside from the Vabbian armor for Warriors, which I already have on my primary Warrior, there isn't anything else I like as much either. Sigh.

Date: 2007-08-03 09:16 pm (UTC)Yeah, I know. I think that's my problem with assassins, too, and maybe even paragons. Damn you, armor that actually has to be functional and not pretty.

Date: 2007-08-03 09:42 pm (UTC)Yeah, Paragon armor is totally uninspiring at the moment as well, male AND female :/. Sometimes I think that acquiring gorgeous armor, not defeating the campaigns, is the goal of my playing nowadays ;). The fur-lined ritualist armor is so nice that I'm back to staring at THAT character creation screen willing a face/hairstyle to become appealing to me, too. Hahaha sigh.

Date: 2007-08-03 09:49 pm (UTC)I'm not sure why all the dervish and paragon armors are so boring. I love my dervish, but all the armor looks identical. I'm pretty sure that I'm playing so much because I want to acquire materials/cash/dye for new armor.
I really hate most of the ritualist hairstyles. Something where we could combine faces/hairstyles from all the campaigns in character creation would be SO nice.
