Okay. Deep breath.
I'm experiencing conflicting emotions on this one. On the one hand, I'm so, so glad that I got into Firefly just now, so that I could be made aware of this con and be in a position to possibly attend one of the days (or whatever). On the other hand, I'm horribly annoyed that I became a Firefly fan just now, so that I could be made aware of this con and really really want to go despite the cost.
The facts are as such: I could definitely afford to attend one day. I could probably afford one photo op, if I so desired (more on that later). Or, I could afford two days. The con coincides with a concert I have, and the dress rehearsal the day before it. I could definitely take the 9th off of work and spend the day, but on Saturday the 10th is when the photo ops are, and also the "Boys of Serenity" panel (part 1 of 2!!) which, man, I can't even express how much I would want to go to that. But if it's at the same time as my dress rehearsal, I'm humped, because I really can't afford to miss that.
Sunday is my concert, and what with an early call time and everything, there would be no point in my trying to make it. I'm really irked that the cast panel is going to be at the same time as my concert. Stupid concert. Would you believe I actually considered just skipping the concert (we're doing two, after all; the second is on the much-more-convenient 17th), but I've already sold tickets to the 11th. ;_;
So the defining factor will probably be my dress rehearsal Saturday. If there's absolutely no way I can cut it close and make that afternoon panel, I'll have to weigh whether it's really worth attending on Saturday or not. Then there's the issue of the photo ops. I'm really torn on that one. On the one hand, "leik omg yaye i want piccies of nathan kthx lolz!!11!1" But on the other hand I'm not sure I want to meet him and be that sweaty-palmed girl whose grin takes up her entire face (or one of several dozen, whichever). 'Cause OMGNATHANYAYE!
In conclusion: TORN! And I really need to know my dress rehearsal time! I would know, but I never write these things down because I've never had anywhere I needed to be, before! This "conflicting schedule due to con" thing is new to me!
