randominityMan, what a tiring weekend. Harry Potter twice (well, really, just the Thursday night and then Saturday matinee) and Serenity once more, entertaining my best friend, performing Carmina Burana, attending yet another rehearsal and getting to hear a real live gospel choir do their thing (what? I'm Canadian!), and, god love'er, having the best friend consent to watching some Firefly episodes.
Her favorite is Wash, so I'm trying to get her through a good chunk of the series to see if she'll end up hooked. Right now she laughs at all the right parts and asks questions so I know she's paying attention, but she only thinks it's "okay," which I can't fault her for because I thought the exact thing up until Out of Gas. But Mal was my woobie at that point, and he's not hers, so who knows. Heck, I'm just happy to get to watch these episodes again ^^. We're up to Bushwacked.
Also, have watched significant bits of A Knight's Tale, and Alan Tudyk is love. I don't know about that Heath Ledger guy or anything, having not paid attention to the main plot, haha, but I'm sure I'll watch the whole thing at some later date.
I was going to put up some form of review of the GoF movie, but I'm starting to think it would just read as a defensive list of all the things that were changed that I don't care were changed, heh. vandonovan and I spent the wait in the IMAX theater talking about Serenity and quoting bits of the series back at each other and squeeing about the Flanvention and were already looking forward to our Saturday viewing, so... bad Harry Potter fans, I guess, I know :P.

I'm thinking of starting a Firefly SoCal community or something, but a) I'm shite at the modding thing, and b) I don't know if anyone would really join. Thoughts?
