Randominity

A lot of Guild Wars actually! I have to stop napping (or wanting to nap, I guess) early in the evenings, as I'd get a lot more done if I didn't. As it was, I hopped on around 9pm, determined to get Nanashi the rest of the way to Vabbi (where she will be parked FOREVER until she has the entire Vabbian armor set, bwahahaha). Chose the Master of Whispers (since I have Acolyte Jin) and set out to do Rilohn Refuge.

What is it about that mission that kicks my ass? Aside from the fact that Droughtlings are EVOL and omg make me feel squishy. I made it to the Drought and party-wiped and had to start over, and the second time through I successfully completed it without any deaths. This same thing happened when I did it with Maree, too, only that time I was going for the Masters. Still. Hate the Drought. Arrrr. Then came stupid annoying Maddock Crevice or whatever it is, and I can never catch the runners in time, so I only got 3/4 of Dunkoro's suggestions. Whatever! Vabbi!

Only not. I forgot you have to take the quests and then fight through like THREE zones without an outpost just to get to the next mission ;_;. At one point my wireless connection dropped (wtf!!!) and I thank god for the reconnect feature, because seriously. Dropping in the middle of a zone = NOT COOL. Did the Princes' party thing and bam. Kodash Bazaar. And, I had two trade contracts to show for it, combined with the 6 Maree has earned! That scored me a ruby. Yay.

This is before I checked prices and found rubies selling for 6.5k, and sapphires for 3.9k, so I'm SO GLAD I opted for a ruby instead of a sapphire, omg. At those prices, though - which I realize are greatly reduced from in the recent past - I could only justify buying 2 sapphires and one more ruby, for a big total of... one pair of Vabbian gauntlets. SOB. That's where my newly-earned 30k went, ya'll. Of course I didn't fully exhaust my savings, and I think I have around 16k at this point, but STILL. I'm going to have to quest my brains out in Vabbi to earn another 6 trade contracts just to save 6.5k, and Vabbian armor will cost me 12 more rubies and sapphires (if I don't get the helm). SOB SOB SOB.

So, having had enough of Nanashi for the night, I logged on with Fairuza, the other character that's going to rob me blind in Vabbian armor. I went ahead and did Jokanur Diggings and Blacktide Den with masters, then Consulate Docks for the masters as well. Built the base and regained Koss and made my way to Venta Cemetary, where I tried the novel idea of hugging the northern wall (hahaha) to avoid combat as much as possible (moderate success on that front; there are a LOT of mobs with high aggro ranges, arrr. I think I fought about 5 battles and had to disarm 3 sentry traps, but that's still better than the mission proper). That was MORE than enough playing for one night for me, but at least I leveled from 18 to 20 and had around 3k earned in drops by the end of it (though come to think of it... three hours of play... and 3k in drops? Damn. Character farming would be better after all).

Tonight..... I really don't know what I'll do next! I guess I could get Fairuza to Vabbi as well, since I took Nanashi from around that point, and then I'd feel accomplished on some front. Or I could.....? I could character farm all night, too. Hahaha. I wonder how much I would earn if I spent all evening character farming, hahaha. /wrists

Note to self: need new icon for Nanashi. She has cute Shing Jea armor now!
