I took my car in to the garage last night to have them look at the A/C, and they were all "we might be done by 10am?" to which I thought, dammit, but whatever, it's not like I love my job and I'm in constant fear of getting fired anyway, so I'll call in - what else can I do?

I then ran - jogged, really, about the same pace that I run in place at home - home from the garage (three long blocks) for my workout, and while my muscles felt okay and I didn't sweat a lot, I think it did a real number on my lungs. Painful breathing and all that. I got home and stretched and drank a buttload of water and went about my evening routine, which is to nap until it was time to vote 50 times for Joey on Dancing With the Stars, and download Heroes :D.

While getting all of this done, I realized that my throat was pretty extremely sore. I treated myself to a vitamin and some Chloroseptic and pretty much whined about it all evening. Then I stayed up way too late after watching Heroes, hoping the throat thing would go away, before caving and going to sleep anyway.

Today I felt no better. I got a call from the garage around 9 saying they had to order a part and wouldn't be finished until this afternoon, so I called my manager, sounding like a guy, and said that since that was the case and I was already feeling sick, I would just dose myself with some cold medication and sleep until the afternoon and then see if it was worth coming in for two hours at all.

I just got up. Throat is still sore, but not as much as it had been. I sound very much like a dude, and it hurts to speak. And my car is still not ready. Oh, and the repair is going to run me about $350. Which, admittedly, is better than the $500-ish I was fearing/expecting.

Emo. :(
