Randominity

I'm having a few crash/freeze-up issues with the game recently, probably related to the new builds being pushed out, but it's frustrating nonetheless to have to restart in the middle of doing something, with no warning as to what might cause my whole computer to lock up. Thank goodness for the reconnect feature, seriously! -_-;;

Over the past couple of days I've just been trying to get stuff done. I realized that (for some reason; I think I was with a guildie and was run) I didn't have Gates of Kryta completed with Nanashi. It's the only mission I hadn't done with her; I didn't so much as get a Drok's run with that character, she is 100% legit (except, apparently, for being run from Gates of Kryta straight to Lion's Arch, hehehe). So I figured I'd take care of that for completion's sake.

I crashed out THREE TIMES while doing that mission, all in the final swamp area. *cries* At that point - after three restarts - I would normally just give up, but considering I could reconnect and that I was NEARLY done the mission, I kept on persevering until it was done. I threw in the towel for the rest of the night, though!

This morning when I got up, I decided to take Nanashi out for a couple of unlocked chest runs. I did them in Hard Mode since the Istani areas are so easy otherwise and the chest drops aren't as big, so I would at least get some decent mob drops. I did get an Elementalist tome, so that was nice. I also crashed out a few times in the Mehtani Keys, but WHATEVER! Reconnect FTW.

Finally, with Fairuza I achieved my character goals. I Ascended last week sometime, and had done the first of the two attribute quests. I changed my secondary from Warrior to Mesmer so that I could try the Spiteful Spirit build, and set off from Ice Caves of Sorrow for my second attribute quest.....

....an hour and a half and two crashes later, I finally had it ;_;. It wasn't THAT terribly bad except right at the Frozen Forest where there are eleventy billion Pinesouls, Shadows, and Stone Summit and you can't pull them apart. I HATES THEM PRECIOUS. And there's always the bit right at the entrance of the Copperhammer Mines where I end up telling my henches/heroes to fight (and die quickly and horribly) while I run past the thousand mobs THERE to safety and hope to survive all the Penetrating Shots at my back in the meantime. BUT ANYWAY, I made it! \o/ So all that's left for Fairuza is to get her Vabbian armor infused and dye it a lovely blood red. And then I can do with her what I like, without a goal necessarily in mind!

Next up is Neriah, who is finally in the desert. I sort of want to go through EotN with her first, so after all that trouble with Fairuza ascending etc, I have to go do it all again with her. Sigh. But I loves her, so it's worth it, I guess. Hahaha. The more I think about it, the less I mind going through EotN with my older Prophecies characters. It had felt a bit "off" before, but now I'm like "... yeah, I want Neriah to meet up with Gwen again." Who knows how many times my mind will change again before the release? :P

At any rate, I also have my new Elementalist named Evie, who will be my EotN clothes horse. She's also at the desert, but will have to wait her turn to play with the big boys and girls. I do think she's cute, though. I've been a bit lax with taking screencaps because I mourn the lack of antialiasing on this computer, so all of my softly-lit icons of the past are no longer possible. But I should really update at least my Nanashi icon, since she has Vabbian now (which has been infused! Due to a run through Ring of Fire with princessy and fellow guildie! Yay!) instead of little old 1.5k Gladiator.

I would totally be playing Neriah now to get her ascended, but I'm afraid of more freeze-ups. :( :( :(
